In March I decided to see what all the hype was surrounding SAN Fierce and put together a mini review. Since then Fierce has become one of my go to pre workouts, so of course I was excited to see what improvements they had made when they recently reformulated Fierce (now known as Domination)
Here is the profile of the original SAN Fierce:
And here is the profile of the new SAN Fierce Domination:
I have had a chance to use Domination for 3 workouts, so in my next post I will give some more details on my workouts/thoughts. I would also like to get in at least one more workout (which I will post about here as well) before I put together my review, so stay tuned

Auxiliary curling movement: Barbell Drag Curls
4 sets of 10 reps @ 115lbs (finished off with a drop set down to 95lbs followed by a set of 21s with barbell only)
Notes:
There were a few interesting things to note:
- Typically I have my pre as soon as I wake up, have a quick pro/carb shake about 15-20 minutes later, and then head to the gym. For this day though because I went later in the morning I ended up eating breakfast approx an hour before I had Domination, and I found that having a meal in my stomach somewhat lessened the effects of the C (not horrible for me since I am stim sensitive, but noticeable).
- Midway through my workout the energy in Fierce started to kick in. It was a relatively smooth energy which was something I was focused on since I believe Domination has a higher C level then Fierce
- Energy was great throughout the workout, but one thing I started to notice was that I felt a little off, almost a "trippy" feeling. This lasted about an hour or so after my workout was complete, almost similar to being a little too stimmed, but not quick the anxiety type feeling.
- No noticeable post workout crash
- Typically my hypertrophy workouts are where I get more of a pump and get the vascularity kicking in, but this workout the pump/vascularity was right up there with my hypertrophy workouts which was a pleasant surprise
- No GI issues notedLast edited by dbone1026; 06-28-2012 at 06:06 PM.

Day 2 (Sunday)
Dosing:
4 caps XF 45 minutes pre + 1 Scoop Fierce Domination + 1 Scoop HemaVol
Workout: PHAT Day 2: Lower Body Power Day
Pressing Power Movement: Barbell Deadlifts
4 sets 3 @ 315lbs | 3 @ 375lbs | 3 @ 375lbs | 5 @ 315lbs
Assistance pressing movement: Barbell Front Squats
3 sets of 6-8 reps @ 135lbs
Assistance extension movement: Leg Extensions
3 sets of 6 reps @ 190lbs (4|2 tempo)
Assistance pulling movement: Smith Machine Split Squats
3 sets of 6 reps @ 135lbs
Assistance pulling/curling movement: Lying Hamstring Curls
2 sets of 6 reps @ 100lbs
Auxiliary calf movement: Standing Smith Machine calf raise
3 sets of 10 reps @ 185lbs
Auxiliary calf movement: Seated calf raise
3 sets of 10 reps @ 90lbs
Notes:
- For this workout I was back to my normal routine where I had my pre first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Boy did that make a difference, as I definitely felt the stim kick in much quicker then the day prior when I already had a meal in me.
- At the start of the workout I was starting to feel that "trippy" feeling again. It actually didn't last too long though, and I would say was less noticeable versus the Saturday workout
- Pump/muscle fullness once again was at a high
- I was in a bit of a rush as I moved along with this workout, and I felt Domination gave me the right amount of energy to power through the workout without missing a beat (after deadlifts I managed to get through the rest of the exercises in about 30 minutes)
- No post workout crash.
- No GI issues notedKenshin and Dbone's Nursing Home Adventures (ongoing) ... http://tinyurl.com/ns23wak

Day 3 (Thursday i.e. Today)
Dosing:
4 caps XF 45 minutes pre + 1 Scoop Domination + 3 Anavite
Workout: PHAT Day 6 : Chest and Arms Hypertrophy Day (PART 1, CHEST ONLY)
Pressing Power Exercise speed work: Inclinet Barbell presses
6 sets of 3 reps @ 155lbs + Chains (70% of 3-5 rep max, down slow, power up)
Hypertrophy pressing movement: Flat Barbell presses
4 sets of 8-12 reps @ 185-225lbs (Last set drop set 205|185|135)
Hypertrophy pressing movement: Seated Incline HS press
3 sets of 15 reps @ 55-75lbs on each side
Hypertrophy fly movement: Overhand cable flies
3 sets of 15 reps @ 35lbs
Hypertrophy fly movement: Peck Deck
3 sets of 15 reps @ 90lbs
Notes:
- OK, so I wanted to try something a little different and use Domination solo (instead of stacking with Hemavol). Also, today I had just flown in from the UK, so being up over 16 hours before I got to the gym was going to be a real test to see if Domination to give me the energy I needed)
- That "trippy" feeling I experienced the first two workouts was nowhere to be found with this workout, so that is one interesting thing to note (possibly because I was already over-exhausted by the time i got to the gym)
- I had an awesome pump throughout my chest workout, almost where a few times it was borderline painful at the end of my reps. This was interesting since I actually had kept Hemavol out of the mix for this workout. One thing though that I have noticed that may have contributed to this, I have found that when I workout later in the afternoon, the pump seems to be more prominent then when I work out first thing in the morning (possibly because my body is already flush with food and carbs by the time i get to the gym in the afternoon). This was about 30 minutes after my workout, and I still had a great pump/fullness going on (even had the arm vascularity kicking in even though I didn't work out my arms)
- Domination gave me a smooth energy burst throughout the workout, just the right amount to give me that needed edge without any of the jitters or anxiety
- No noticeable post workout crash
- No GI issuesKenshin and Dbone's Nursing Home Adventures (ongoing) ... http://tinyurl.com/ns23wak

So those are my 3 workouts to date, all at slightly different scenarios and results. Tomorrow I going to go back to my normal first thing in the morning workout and stack with Hemavol. In particular it will be interesting to see if I experience that trippy/overstimmed feeling, or if it was just an anomaly with those first few workouts (especially since today's workout I did not experience any of this). Oh yeah, and it will be hypertrophy arms, so let's see what kind of pump I can get going lol. Most likely tomorrow's workout will be the final workout and then I will put together my review.

Day 4
Dosing:
1 Scoop Fierce Domination + 1 Scoop Hemavol 60 minutes pre workout on an empty stomach
Workout: PHAT Day 6 : Chest and Arms Hypertrophy Day (Part Deux, Arms only)
Hypertrophy curling/extension exercise: Barbell Drag curls / Lying Cambered Bar Skull Crushers / Closed Grip Cambered Bar Presses Tripleset
4 sets of 12 reps @ 95-135lbs / 4 sets of 12 reps @ 65lbs / 4 sets of 12 reps @ 65lbs
Hypertrophy curling/extension exercise: EZ Bar Preacher curls / Overhand Grip Cable Pressdowns Superset
3 sets of 12-15 reps @ 65lbs / 3 sets of 15 reps @ 100lbs
Hypertrophy curling/extension exercise: Dumbbell Concentration Curls / Rope Cable Pressdowns Superset
3 sets of 15 reps @ 25lbs Dumbbells / 3 sets of 15 reps @ 70lbs
Hypertrophy curling/extension exercise: Standing Alternating dumbbell curls / Cable Tricep Extensions Superset
4 sets of 12 reps @ 35lbs dumbbells / 4 sets of 15 reps @ 20lbs
Optional: Run the rack Alternating Dumbbell Curls / Rope Cable Pressdowns Superset
1 set of a total of approx 24 reps @ 45/40/30/25/20 lbs dumbbells / 1 set of a total of approx 30+ reps @ 100/90/80/70/60 lbs
Notes:
- Oh boy, one of the best arm pumps/vascularity I have had in a while. Looks like Domination + HemaVol + Hypertrophy + Supersets is downright killer
About an hour post workout the pump/vascularity was still kicking in:
- Second straight workout where I did not notice any of that "stimmed" out feeling, so I am thinking whatever caused it the first few times is not the norm.
- Having Domination on a empty stomach first thing in the morning definitely hits me quicker (I would say within the first 6-11 minutes). Never too much, and the energy remains smooth and constant throughout the workout
- As of now (approx 2 hours post workout) no noticeable crash
- No GI issues
So 4 workouts, slightly different scenarios, think I should be good now to put together a review shortlyKenshin and Dbone's Nursing Home Adventures (ongoing) ... http://tinyurl.com/ns23wak

Final Review
Profile:
The biggest change from Fierce to Domination is the replacement of the NO blend with CitMal/LCLT/Agmatine/GMS. I am definitely a fan of this switch and think that is why the pumps were more noticeable with Domination vs. Fierce. I know some people will argue that the dosage amount of these should have been increased for optimal results (specifically CitMal in the 4-6g range, LCLT @ 2G, and Agmatine @ 1G). However, I can see why the dosage is where it is as you get a great pump using as a standalone. I would rather be in the position where if I felt like it needed a boost I could just stack with another supp (like Hemavol), otherwise it could work great as a standalone. To me this would be better then having someone use and having to cut the dose in half because the pumps are too much (and losing the Creatine/Energy benefit by reducing the dose). Of course this also assumes that whatever dosage is still at an effective level and not grossly underdosed (as many supps out there do).
Also, I think it was implied that the BA was dosed around 1.6g and Caffeine was more then in Fierce (possibly around the 250mg+ range?). The creatine content should easily cover your daily creatine needs.
Taste/Mixability:
Not really much I can comment on with regards to taste. I am not a huge watermelon fan, but watermelon Domination tastes good, although I do prefer the Orange Tangy Fierce.
As far as mixability, Domination mixes up rather well just using water in a shaker cup
One thing I noticed is a bit more residue is left over versus Fierce (could this be the GMS?)
Energy:
This was probably my biggest concern when trying Domination since it has a higher C content then the original Fierce (and I am a bit stim sensitive). Poison had mentioned though that the caffeine/l-theanine combo would actually reduce the effects of the Caffeine (see here for more info provided). The first two times I used Domination it was a bit weird. I never felt the typical anxiety/jitters that I experience with heavily stimmed products and the energy was great. However, I had a bit of a dazed/trippy feeling (didn't last long but it was noticeable). The last two workouts though I never experienced this, so I am thinking that the trippy/dazed feeling was not the norm. Otherwise energy was great, and most importantly no post workout crash
Endurance/Focus:
Great energy and focus, something that is important for me since I currently follow PHAT. Due to some time contraints I had to really cram in a lot in a short period of time, and with Domination I never skipped a beat.
Pump/Fullness:
I tried a couple different scenarios, using Domination as a standalone and stacking with HemaVol. In both cases I would say I had some of the best pumps I have experienced (borderline painful but did not hinder my workouts). Domination definitely stacks great with HemaVol, but it definitely has me thinking that I could use more as just a standalone. This is something I will continue to mess around with to see where my sweet spot is
GI Distress:
No Hershey squirts, enough said!
Additional Notes:
I do have a few bones to pick with SAN. First, instead of affixing a label to the tub they decided to use a simple wrap around label. What bugs me about this is when you go to open the tub for the first time it is very easy to rip off the label itself (see below as part of the label started coming off before I realized it)
My second bone to pick is regarding the scooper. 1 serving is not up to the top of the scooper, but instead to the line below. I don't have an issue with this but feel it should be more clearly stated on the label and a clear scooper should have been used instead of a black scooper (so it would be easier to see how the scooper is filled). Filling to the top of the scooper without realizing that takes you above the serving size could lead to excess stims and nitrates which could have a negative impact on the user and their perception of Domination.
Final Thoughts:
Overall I think SAN did a great job reformulating Fierce, and I see Domination as a keeper as part of my pre workout mix. It worked great for me as a standalone but also lends itself well to stacking (and each user can determine what works best for them). Of course, if you are an ArA user, Domination lends itself nicely to.Kenshin and Dbone's Nursing Home Adventures (ongoing) ... http://tinyurl.com/ns23wak

Just an epic review as always and I'd say when this was formulated, your thoughts are almost exactly what we hoped users would think and feel. I know how much you love supps and have the desire and means to get the best stuff out there, so it means a lot that you see Fierce Domination as a part of your pre-workout supplementation
I think the label is sweet but like you said I had some trouble tearing it off without maiming the sexy graphic. Feedback is noted! However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results - Dr. John Berardi

Yeah, I know many of us here want to add dozens of different supps together to get the most "optimized" results, but sometimes less is better. I just like the fact that Domination works great as a standalone yet is very inviting to be stacked. I am trying to be less of a supp whore and narrow things down to a few core supps
Thx sir.

Oh, cool. Phone viewage sucks.
A word about dosages: looking at each ingredient separately, your numbers (specifically CitMal in the 4-6g range, LCLT @ 2G, and Agmatine @ 1G) would be great. However, when combined, and with the addition of nitrates, it is not necessary; there is a point of diminishing returns.
As noted by all reviews so far, there is no problem with endurance, or pumps, when using Domination.Last edited by poison; 06-29-2012 at 10:38 AM.

I noticed the issue with the label too. Made it difficult to hold the tub while taking the lid off for the first time since it would slip. I have to cradle it like a baby

It does not have 1,3 D as that has been banned. We have beefed up the energy/focus component in this product, but it has a different feeling and won't have the side effects associated with 1,3 D. As someone who loves both products, this one whomps Launch in the pumps/endurance/strength department.
If you really love that big energy hit, we're currently formulating Launch 4350 Reloaded so you can look forward to that. However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results - Dr. John Berardi
