I have lived in the house since 04, and then added the leg area to the gym and upstairs in 09. It has been quite the process to get where we are today. It's kind of hole int eh wall but, many of the strongest strength athletes have trained or train here.Squat: 1,040

Anybody have any floor press setup tricks? The racks I have are too high to set the bar on when laying down on the ground. I've used deadlift blocks and start with the bar on the blocks just like a deadlift would. Problem here is the rep starts at the bottom, which is annoying but not a deal breaker, but even worse, is that it the bar height must start below the bottom of the rep, otherwise the weights hits the blocks before the bottom of the rep. This makes it really hard to get into a starting position. Its basically a dead press but your arms are not yet in line with the bar.

about 4 inches. I can unrack a bar and be ok. I don't think im physically strong enough once theres a couple hundred pounds on it. I might try lining up all my deadlift blocks next to each other to "raise" the floor locally. They are 3.75", they might not be wide enough, but worth a shot.

As long as you can get them wide enough I think it would be the best bet. I use floor press for about 75% of my pressing, not because it limits ROM but because regular benches are just too narrow for my shoulder. Maybe even if your ROM isn't limited by your elbows hitting the wider support surface will help

basil Hayden straight rye, if you like rye, dark rye is a good one as well. Bowman small batch. They have a Port finish that is pretty tasty as well. These are 35-50 dpending on location.
If you can find these...blood oath 4, Buffalo Trace Single Oak, Buffalo trace experimental. I currently am sipping a 13 yr sour mash experimental...very tasty. NOt easy to find nor cheap but, good. HIllrock Solera aged is really good. Hard to find, not cheap.
