Any Socal bros been to Societe lately? Man I used to love these guys, especially The Pupil & The Publican. Last summer I had The Pupil @ Stone and was disappointed but dismissed it and assumed it was a bad batch or a fluke. Brought my growlers for fills Saturday, but decided to sample both before. What a letdown, ended up leaving the growlers in the car.

Used to stop at Societe everytime I went down to san Diego but it's been super meh recently. Always the same sht on tap except for a new bachelor variation of some random hop. Seems like the quality had been declining. Growler prices are terrible too

I'm probably one of the few (maybe the only one?) who likes Firestone Walker here, but I've never had this and I really enjoyed this. It's a much light drinking Pale Ale. I would drink this over Manny's, Mirror Pond, and Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale.
This is really good. I was cautious at buying this because I'm not a big fan of the Single-Wide IPA and the Double-Wide IPA. This one is good. The 8.5% ABV, is hidden. Orange, apricot, fruit citrus taste.
I like Breakside brews, but this is just ok. Not that great that I had hoped; very underwhelmed. Still better than most IPA's out there, but I had bigger expectations. I love their regular IPA."I don't mean to sound bitter, cold, or cruel, but I am, so that's how it comes out."

Breakside sent in a couple IPAs for the NIPAC; good shyt. Never had this one though.
Celebrated one of the Beer Jerk's wife's bday last night; busted out meadwhales since she likes spicy shyt, specifically B Nektar Cherry Chipotle and Dragons are real. Both were awesome. Dragons is cherry juice + cacao nib + chipotle pepper mead aged in Dragons Milk barrels. Heart. (sorry for shytty pics; shyt wasn't focusing well)

So Toronado Seattle is doing bottles of Cable Car '14 tomorrow.
Not sure if I wanna get up ass early to wait in line on my day off.... and then pay $65 for on-site consumption
Never had a breakside beer I liked. Passionfruit sour was prob the best out of all I've tried. And Societe tasted pretty watery to me, too... with all the good beer in CA, I don't see why they're so expensive for growler fills of it.Common Sense Crew

Cable Car is REAAALLLYYY good. I really liked it when I was first on the fringe of drinking sours; haven't had it since. I imagine I'd think it's amazeballs now. Would I pay 65 for it though and be forced to drink it there? IDK. People "stole" CCK bottles because that was supposed to be on-site only but we all know that handfulls of bottles got out into the public. So you can try to see if you can get one now and carry it out with your boyfriend's purse.
