I had a Nissen fundoplication at the hospital on Saturday, prior to Sat I had terrible GERD, woke up with acid in my throat night, deadlifting 120kg - 172.5kg caused reflux very easily.
I am currently on day 5, liquid diet, double protein shake in the morning and two soups one at lunch and one at dinner.
I have recovered quite well so far but I am still on pain meds, I found from when I woke up after the op that I could drink liquids but you may find your throat painful, day 5 my throat is still painful. I have been told no lifting any weights for 3 months and liquid diet for 8 weeks (yay...).
To recover, I am working at home, no weight lifting, liquid diet, and treadmill for 35 minutes a day average heart rate about 160.
I just wanted to say I am doing well, it's not the end of the world the only thing I would say negatively is you fart all the time, jesus wept!
