Thanks! We've got one guy that drives up from Santa Cruz, he doesn't usually make it all four days, though. Where are you at now?
Thanks!
We're waiting on the landlord to do the walkthrough, but everything is loaded up and ready to go!

So I've had lots of time to sit around and think lately because I'm driving lots.
Today's thoughts:
I think I'm going to see if I can't hit a 900 total in the 123s in the next year or so, and then not worry about actively controlling my weight and see what happens.
Other thoughts:
The kitties like the Christmas Song. They do not like Metallica. They like me singing. They do not like the heat in the high desert. I like beef jerky.314/231/352/881@123

Yeah. If I don't hit at least 900 geared next month, something went terribly wrong!
I think I can make it happen raw in the next couple of years, I was a lockout from 850 at my last meet...
Thanks!
Walked around the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert this morning. Then more RE driving today. I set a mileage PR. 342 miles on one tank of gas (my low fuel light didn't even come on) with no breaks! Made it through AZ, NM, TX, and into OK. Tomorrow, Rolla!314/231/352/881@123

As it turns out, there's a Trader Joe's 15 minutes from the home I'll be moving into, and it's about 20 minutes from one of the largest malls in Maryland. Additionally, I'll be only 30 minutes from both DC and Baltimore. Just four hours from New York.
Congrats on making it down to Rolla. 2000 miles, shouldn't that be a PR?

Sounds like the next place is promising!
Eh, I've made the trip a few times already, so it's not that big of a PR...I've actually made it in two days instead of four, too.
First day at Vessels. Terrible.

The bench is el terrible, the bar is too high, and I couldn't get anything to stay where it was supposed to, regardless of chalk. Plus, I'd had about 600 calories today, so it was a recipe for disaster.
Called it a day, went and ate. Hopefully tomorrow will make up for it.314/231/352/881@123

Well, I made it through the warmup, just none of the work I wanted to do!
Nice first post!
So today is the Brewer Science health fair thingie.
I learned:
I am overweight (132!). Not bad for subsisting on fast food and beef jerky for the past few days.
According to the handheld BF% thingie, I'm 24%. Ha!
My cholesterol is good, but my good cholesterol is most of it.
My blood pressure and blood sugar are ridiculously low.
Good luck interpreting those numbers, insurance company.
I also got free toothpaste and am entered in many raffles.314/231/352/881@123

I honestly don't think I've begun to reach the point where I'm failing in gear because I'm not strong enough. Most of it is me freaking out because I'm so uncomfortable, or not trusting the gear enough, or reverting to my raw form, or what have you. Apparently 405 looked really good until I hit depth...which is better than last week where I just started to go down and then screamed with 345 and chains...
This stuff is ridiculous.314/231/352/881@123

Yes Rebecca, this single ply stuff makes training a little inconsistent. Hit a PR one session, then on another day fudge up what could've been an opener. Forcing yourself to sit back properly in these tight costumes is harder than it's made out to be.

Sitting back is way easier with knee wraps. Try it.
Went and lifted at the new gym at UMR. It is sad.

Just exhausted after the past couple of weeks, not eating particularly well, and the time change probably hasn't helped much either. Can't wait to sleep in on Saturday...314/231/352/881@123

Yes sleep is a good thing I'm a full out advocate for sleep lol...yeah time changes suck and I haven't been eating that well either lately. I've been trying to change that this week but I can relate to what you're saying. You'll pick back up once your body adjusts to the time change...get some rest!

I don't know exactly yet, but my openers will probably look something like 335-275-335. I've given up on the idea of opening raw and then shirting up, because it just takes too long to get my shirt set up right. My main goal is to not bomb. If I don't bomb, I should be able to break 1000, so that's pretty much the goal!
Today was much better than last Monday.

I was sending WORK emails!!!
Wednesday:
Went to the gym because SMR and Joe (one of Rolla's few powerlifters) were benching over lunch.
I walked for 15 minutes on an incline.
Then I held boards, and watched SMR almost decapitate himself trying to rerack 6 plates. It was exciting.
Now back to meetings.314/231/352/881@123
