Sorry I'm kind of cross posting this with my training journal and the fam thread but thought this is a thread this should be in.
posted this in my training journal. Still thinking of a couple other mods but so far I'm loving it and really helping some lower back/spine pain I've been having.
My DIY Rack Mount front and back Adjustable height reverse hyper.
mounting, using, and dismounting also fixed the strap with a couple loops and carabiners to help lengthen it.
Got the idea from here btw,
http://tnation.t-nation.com/free_onl...the_power_rack
Instead of 2x4's on the bottom for where the piping attaches I used 2x6's to lower the pivot point position a bit

I'm kinda new here...
But I'm not unfamiliar with getting ripped! I basically joined to compare stories, accomplishments, personal goals, hardships and such and am really looking forward to any feedback you guys may share with me. I'm still kinda new, as I said, plus I'm posting from a toaster lol, otherwise I'd post pics of my progress over the years.
I was always the chubby kid growing up until I eventually got tired of being unhappy with my appearance and decided to do something about it. I searched the interweb's most obscure places and dug through every little nook and cranny and got myself up-to-date and the latest fad diets, fitness plans, went through the most gruesome workouts you could fathom...until one day I stumbled across yet another site offering seemingly the same results and I was ready to throw in the towel, but for what ever reason I decided to give it a try any way in a final act of desperation.
...to my astonishment this one was different; it actually worked. I was almost in awe when I realized how buff, shredded, and vascular I had gotten.
I'll be a nice guy and share my painfully awesome experience with you guys & gals(?) as soon as I have enough posts to do so
PS - I'll be sure to post pics as soon as I figure out how lmao.

I don't have enough posts to include a video, but hopefully you can copy/paste the info and remove the spaces to go to the link...
I made a deadlift jack using 2x6 boards and some pipes and fittings. It works just fine for the weights I lift, and here I "stress tested" it with all of my 45's... 675 lbs is way more than I will ever need to load, so this is a keeper...

AWESOME thread - love it. for 1 arm overhead press i'd recommend either a metal rod between two buckets of concrete that you let set with some kind of circular mold in the bucket perhaps - just make sure the handle is long enough so you can actually get up on shoulder properly. there's also a product called mass caps by pr products that allows you to strap on extra weight plates to the ends of dumbbells and make them bigger.

Home made squat rack made awhile back
Made this squat rack with just two small metal hinges to support the bar right in from of my parents garden haha
Not a very stable surface to squat on but it sure does make it a hell of a lot more challenging!Check out my YouTube channel for everything from powerlifting, to calisthenics, to healthy bodybuilding recipes:
