Suzuki released all the new 2019 gsxs1000 models, and... they all come with blacked out fork seals. Mine is gold. I got 3 options.
keep gold, or powder coat my gold black, or buy the oem upper tubes (anodized black) from motosport.com (260 a piece..) but it would save hassle of running around, powder coating, etc and then risking powder coating cracking when I clamp the forks back in. Id also put SKF fork seals back in. so a 600 dollar premium for black forks and upgraded fork seals.
worth it?
here's the colors for the bikes. you can see all the new bikes have black ones. I bet anodized black would look better than powder coat black. Powdercoating would cost me 150 alone. So 400 dollar difference.

Just keep them gold. Save money for exhaust or new rubber.

Blacked my forks out guys, 30 bucks I ordered in material, and 50 for my friend to help me, took some patience. I also installed an LED bulb while I was at it, looks awesome but til it warms up can't really post its usability on road yet.
What do you think, black vs gold?Former

Pirelli MT21 front, Mitas MC23 rear. Probably get 3000-4000km out of the rear. On a Mitas E07 rear I got 8000km.
I have done two ~700km days, quite a few 500-600km days. If it is just flat roads and you are sitting, your bum feel like Jerome called you princess for a weekend in jail. But those long days have been a mix of tar, gravel, two track, sandy sections, so you are not sitting all the time which does help. Other option is to rub nipple cream that they use on the cows through your crack before a long ride (Can't remember the english name now). Apparently it helps.
I am not sure how the 701 seat is compared to the 690. Think the 701 is slightly higher than the current model 690.
701 enduro or sm?

Man yesterday sucked. Was all set to prep bike for winter storage and then realized my rear was flat. I last rode on Wednesday and all was well, not sure what happened. Darn you Atlanta streets. Tire only has like 1500 miles on it. Most likely will replace instead of plugging. Although on my first bike (ninja 500) I plugged the front and it held till the day I sold it. But I do track days on this guy and will probably breath easier with a new tire. Just sucks. Such a hassel, gotta borrow a truck to take to bike shop. And on top of that when I almost got her in storage I forgot to put the kickstand down and she started to fall I grabbed her but snapped the rear tail fender. Ugh. Guess I'll order parts over the winter.

i was reading around and a good number of people seemed to have that suggested. i just went with it. you could feel the stiffness. its pretty hard riding actually. noticeably lifted the bike too. i mostly just do street riding for the most part. i was pretty much concerned at the time about maximizing tire life. my front is near the wear bars but the back has good life still. i think it was like conti attacks 2 or something. whats your opinion on airing up?Sig line can't be a novel

Assuming you mean the road attacks, I'm not familiar with them so I guess stick with the recommended but I like running most of my tires at like 30-32 for road, and sometimes 28 which seems to be the sweet spot for heat/grip for most sport/race tires despite the factory recommended pressures being higher, but like I said I don't know anything about the road attacks and you don't want to risk putting too much stress on the sidewalls.
Like on my zx10r I run 31 front 30 rear Dunlop Q3+'s most of the time and tire heat after a ride is always in the sweet spot for street riding.***Feeding son only beef jerky and rocks until he is 24 crew***

harley finally announced the price on their electric sport bike. 29.8K. They can't be serious.
Harley claims a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds and 110 miles of range, easily making it the fastest and most advanced bike in Harley's lineup. H-D expects to start delivering the bike to dealerships in Fall 2019."I'm not like most girls." -most girls
