I've said that week to week and it keeps getting worse. I feel for that defense. They never quit and continuing keep the Bears in the game but we're wasting Mack, Smith, Jackson, etc prime year by not give them an offense. I just want a steady offense. We don't have to be a Patrick Holmes type offense.

I didn't specifically mean trade Mack away lol. I was more talking about the offense. If somehow they can keep the defense in tact and draft a QB and get some offensive line help maybe there is glimmer of hope for next year, but then we still have the same coaches. The whole thing just sucks collectively.

Imagine if they’d spent the money on Quinn on one of the better offensive linemen in free agency like Glasgow or whoever. Or had prioritized the offensive line in the draft.
If the Bears clean house they really need to clean house. Why is Ted Phillips still the President of the team? How many General Manager and coaching regimes are going to fail to meet expectations before the buck finally stops at the top?Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Nagy didn't deny the option of a QB change after the bye today. Mitch's mobility would be better to handle this horrid offensive line, but I don't see it changing much overall if he brings Mitch back in. There are too many other things wrong for another average QB to save the season. It's a lost cause at this point.

I agree and although the offensive line sucks I thought Foles made some bad throws and some really bad reads. At this point who cares who's at QB this offense is a mess. Put any top 10 or top 15 QB in the league in this situation and they would all have career lows in this offense. What's mind blowing to me is Nagy expects his players to adjust to his scheme instead of the other way around like other coaches do. Even when his offense is playing worse and worse to the point this offense is ranked 32nd or 31st in every statistical category on offense. This dude is literally insane.

Idk the time length on Mitch's injury. He's already been inactive 2 weeks now and now they have 12 days until their next game. Personally I don't think Nagy is looking to go back to Mitch, but at this point I think he's just grasping for anything that might get them a win so who knows.

Wasn’t one of those “receptions” technically a pitch? He’s also coming off on ACL tear last year, so I think they’re being extremely cautious with him.
But even when Montgomery comes back I hope they do a little bit more running back by committee less Patterson as you said though.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Lewis

Patterson is so predictable though. Every time he touches it he immediately tries to hit the edge EVERY single time even if the play is designed to go between the tackles.
I saw a post on Twitter where the Bears are next to last in every offensive categories only ahead of the Jets.Razorbacks/Bears/Cubs/Bulls

Dont understand these coaches obsession with Cordelle at RB also in the 2nd half let's abandon the run even though in the end we had 100 yards passing. And when we do run let's put Cordelle at Wildcat even though it hasn't worked. The other backs had 5 carried combined. Also running the ball in the redzone? Nah screw that. 1st half they were actually running the ball ok then they decide do wildcat with Cordelle a couple times then give up on the run. Sometimes I feel like they're trolling us.

Pathetic... and the Jets have a guy that was our OC at one time. Had Jay Cutler, Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery, and Martellus Bennett and still couldn't make it work.
Now we have the fraud Nagy who is anything but an offensive guru... it's clearer now than ever that he was nonessential in KC, and Reid made him look good not the other way around. Clown show all around.
I look at Theo Epstein leaving the Cubs, and then think about the circumstances leading up to the championship. It took a new owner to finally hire a competent GM and the championship followed. As long as this clown show ownership is still in charge they are just rearranging chairs on the titanic at this point.

I think it’s the same thing with Hester he’s such a good returner you want the ball in his hands on offense because if he gets going with some space he’s obviously a threat to a take it to the end zone.
I think maybe he could work if the offense was actually good and there were multiple people defenses actually worried about (watch him go to the Chiefs next year and light it up in their offense) but it just doesn’t work in the perennial crummy Bears offense.
Anyway, I agree with DeputyDong5 it starts at the top and will probably require an ownership change. I saw somewhere that since Ted Phillips became President and CEO the Bears have only made the playoffs five times in 21 years. Is there another ownership group in the NFL that would accept that level of futility?Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Lewis

Correct. Phillips became President and CEO in 99. 5 appearances since then. 11 seasons with an under 500 record.
3 seasons with an offense that ranked in the top 10 in scoring.............3
2 seasons with an offense that ranked in the top 10 in yards...............2
It's pathetic. This organization constantly talks about tradition blah blah blah.....fuk tradition make some real changes for once.Last edited by bullybreed; 11-18-2020 at 09:26 AM.

And the one year in 2013 where they were 2nd in scoring with Cutler Forte Marshall Jeffery.and Bennett they had a historically bad defense with Mel Tucker as DC and they went 8-8. Being elite on one side of the ball and garbage on the other side makes you a mediocre team and that's why they went 8-8 last year and the offense has regressed from bottom 5 to bottom 2.
Also Patterson getting him in the open field as a WR? Sure. As a RB? Please stop.
