Why couldnt they add the most basic gta3 Ai into the game?

Resources aren't unlimited. You think all those dildos that are so crucial to the game add themselves?

- they had an ambitious ai plan
- implemented 1/10th of it
- realized it's broken unless it's 8/10 implemented
- delayed to try to reach that
- couldn't because it was too much
- scrapped it entirely and put in some if/else statements in as a placeholder

the question is will that complex system ever be patched in? will it be introduced for their first major dlc? or will their stock value drop lead to massive layoffs and it never getting done

someone went back through witcher 3 patch notes and there was a alot of tweaking to the AI in them, so they'll undoubtedly do the same here but the question is how much improvement can there be... an entire AI setup left out cause of bugs as you mentioned, or just minor tweaks to this shietty AI

I'm saying from first hand experience that the left image was more in line with what I saw on the PS4 in that mission. I was surprised because I saw the pic ITT before seeing that in game.

Well the Beta is out, the world is there, they could add some much into it if they put a proper AI system in.

Absolutely no doubt, the left pic has tons of polys, textures, insane lighting and shadows. I'm not even a huge graphics nerd and I can easily tell you that Ps4 cannot do that. Not even close.

All the typos in the game are annoying me. Witcher 3 stood out for having decent grammar and spelling.

I’m a stickler for writing but have seen maybe two spelling / grammatical errors so far

Also seen some decent bugs now. One where I ran my vehicle into a pole and it exploded, but me and the car actually fell through the ground and then into space. The game reloaded like that 2-3x, with us falling through space, before it fixed itself.

And tried climbing through one broken window that catapulted me 300m away


But I’m enjoying the chit out of this, not even sure how many hours I’ve sunk already

Apparently W3 was a similar buggy mess at launch, took months of patches to get it playable


personally I haven't encountered any game breaking/srs bugs yet. Some mild stuff but I guess all the years I've been playing bethesda games has numbed me to them.

The ray tracing is ridiculous though, I'm totally sold on it after playing this game. Can't wait for the next 10-15 years of advancement, will be insane (both VR lens tech and GPU tech in general).

The right has nothing to do with ray tracing, they just dumbed the shading, shadows, polys down to 2005 levels for last gen consoles

nah, i just got to that part yesterday. unless the left image was taken the split second the car was in some kind of shade, the flatter style lighting in the right image is what i saw on my pc with everything on ultra expect cascading shadow resolution...which was set to med.

i even noted to myself how much of a let down that scene was compared to the trailers. everything was very flat. but the polys were high. there wasn't very many jagged edges...just chit lighting.

any other cutscene looked amazing though. the one with evelyn and judy looked spot on from the trailers.

Is TW3 not getting a "next gen" update? I'm assuming it will be re-made to a level of RDR2 which would make it even more epic, the models in the vanilla 2015 version are kinda rough tbh, the global illumination and world is beautiful though

tempted to start a new game just so I can get back into this scene and snap some screenshots throughout it with all ray tracing options clicked on
