Just picked these up Saturday morning off of CL. A PowerTec compact leg press and a BodySolid seated calf raise for $300. Both are in great shape. Talked him down from $400, feels like I got a good deal so I'm happy. The calf raise is nice, I bought one with roller pads off of CL, hated it and re-sold it for same price within a couple of weeks. This one is a keeper.

So far the pros are a very small footprint. I haven't tried it out yet. Will hope to do legs Wed. Been suffering from a herniated disk that's been aggrivating my sciatic and have taken a few weeks off. Worked out last night for the first time and went very light just chest and arms. The weight load is light on it and that worries me since I really don't like doing high rep stuff if I can help it. But so far in trying it out with just a wheel on each side it feels very smooth. I can start at the top of the movement which is nice. The seat is adjustable to where I feel that at heavier weights I can be somewhat locked in and not have to worry about being shot out at the bottom stroke. That's one knock I've heard on this. I'm just not sure how the weight load is going to "translate" from a 45 degree leg press since the limit on this is 600lbs. I think it would be a strech getting 3 hundos a side on this, but I only have a pair anyway, the rest will have to be 45s. I've commercial models of these in a gym but only for toe presses for calves, never really tried presses on it. I'll let you know more Thursday providing I don't have any flare ups from my sciatic.

I'm waiting to see an update on this. There's a used one in my area that I might buy, but I also am worried about the 700lb capacity. Seems light, but I don't know how it will translate either. I heard you can tilt the back pad back so that it is almost straight, which would be more of a hack squat movement. Is that true?

The pad does go back pretty far and also forward to an almost 90 degree position. Also the foot plate adjusts up and down. I've only messed with the settings trying to fit it into the back of my SUV, snug fit along with the seated calf raise but it all fit. I'm very anxious to try it out.

Yea it's just my equipment. I had to take out a loan to buy the building. I took a dvd player and surround sound system out of my room and put in it so i could jam. Hopefully this summer i can save up some cash and add some things to it. I would like to get a multi bench, chains, bands, weight tree, and a couple different types of bars.

Nice considering how low on space you are (I feel your pain). I'd suggest tacking (or zip-tie to the other wires) those wires that are hanging down by the rack. Looks like the bar might could snag them.

I had to move the rack around few times cause floor is little uneven, so figured thats best spot for it. Ya I hear ya, its still in process, tring to do little at time, its a nice space like 26'x9' only thing is the ceiling is 84" floor to the header, I can still do a full pull up and standing mil press so good enough for me. I wanna get a lat machine next, put it the other side of room where my heater is.
