FUUUAAARRRRK brahs - my notification email from Subterranean Press about their printing of The Bonehunters got stuck in my junk folder...just found it three months too late lol.
Reading Forge of Darkness again - Arathan's fling is just as fukd the second time around.
@Feral: How do you think Rothfuss delaying Doors of Stone will affect its reviews? Will people be starved for the book to the point that its made out to be the greatest thing ever...or will the reviewers be a bit more critical in their dissection?

Imo, the real reason he's delaying the book is because he has writers block and he has no idea how to finish it.
His ego is just too big to apologize or explain himself to the readers.
I honestly don't believe the third book will be good. I think Rothfuss knows this as well. It'll probably get worse reviews than his first two books.
His plan is to keep profiting from the Kingkiller universe through these retarded board games, cards, props, the TV show, movie, etc for as long as he can.
That said, if/when book 3 does drop, I guarantee it'll still sell like crazy. He has a lot of pathetic fans that worship the ground he walks on.*** Disregard neutrons and electrons, acquire protons crew ***

Also once he finishes it he'll need to write something NEW rather than this one story he's probably been fantasizing about since he was 15 ^.
IMO he's one of those authors who thinks his protagonist has all his own best attributes, kvothe is just one long masturbation fantasy and he's not going to be able to write another character.**#3 always delivers crew**

I can't remember to be honest, but I know the ones I'm reading now are head and shoulders above the earlier ones.
I'd compare it to say something like the Jack Reacher series. Pretty much every book in that series is a good read, but they can all be picked up and read in any order. This kind of links in to previous events better than those types, whilst still remaining as good individual books. So I think I prefer these more.
I'd definitely say I enjoyed book 1 though. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to read on, but leaned towards yes. So if you were completely 'meh' about it I'd maybe not bother.

This. Didn't even finish it. Managed to get about halfway thru before saying fuk it. I have no idea what people are raving about. Different strokes I guess
I've enjoyed all 3 that I've read. I really wish HBO had done the TV show and not Sci-fi. So much potential.I call it "Celebration". It's sexual, and violent...

best parts of the 2 books were when they were at the bar talking secretly by the fire. srs.
he should have started the books there and moved forward. reading about his cuck past is pretty cringe. definitely loved the series when i was younger but i didn't read much back then. We're All Gonna Make It

I'm not convinced, its more like kvothe is a clingy ******* who reads more into their relationship than he should be and is trying to impose a one sided relationship on her. It's funny because it's probably based off his relationship with his wife of some chit, the character is a pompous, arrogant, know all douchebag who's never around and just expects her to love him.
Kvothe is the "but im a NICE guy" guy. He even says at the start that he's a liar and we shouldnt believe the whole story.**#3 always delivers crew**

I couldn't get into Mistborn at all. He recently released a different Mistborn series though that takes place 1000 years after the first series. I might check this new series out.
and Reckoners is awesome. srs. would recommend/10
