Coinbase and GDAX are the same. Same login, accounts etc. Just create a coinbase account and link your bank account (few days waiting period to verify account, but lower fees) or debit/credit card (no wait, but high fees) and you can start buying.

Anyone else agree with lowstrife about LTC topping? The data and graphs all show it definitely should go down... but surely the add to coinbase and GDAX should help it keep going up for a while first?

EDIT- Looking at the past 48 hours only... basically since its been added to coinbase, its showing a perfect growth pattern. Why would coinbase risk their reputation by bringing in a third coin with a looming tank...

coinbase only has btc eth and ltc

if you want other alts you have to transfer money from coinbase to other exchanges

i just went to buy/ sell and since i had put my bank info in it was automatically under one of the pay options. and as i said, it said i had a 5,000 dollar limit so just put a buy order in

idk man.. the actual funds are not within my coinbase account.. but i have the money through my bank. i am/ was able to put in a buy order at 300 and i got a confirmation email and everything etc. saying i purchased 3 coins. on my coinbase screen the transaction has a little yellow dot along with the 300 dollars waiting to be approved from my bank (to my coinbase). the purchased coins say "arriving wednesday"

It's a 1 percent charge with bank accounts...

Oh yeah it's not bad at all if using bank account but I think it's like 3.75% if using debit card. Plus the debit card limits they slap on your account initially are ridiculously low.

you don't need to wait for the ACH to go through. Once the bank account is linked, you can place a buy order and they will spot the price. In a day or two the transfer will hit your bank account and it will complete a couple days after that.

I *think* the funds do have to be in your bank account at the time of the order though....I tried placing several buy orders with insufficient funds in the bank account (knowing they'd be there by the time the order hit the account) and got a rejection email an hour later. Never had that issue when at least enough cash to cover the order was present.

totally get that but coinbase had some tech glitch with my first account so I closed that one and opened up a new one. Linked the bank account, maxed out my limit instantly, but wasn't able to send the btc to other exchanges to trade with for a week until it hit my account. Wouldn't even let me deposit with a debit card - had to wait until my first deposit (bank) cleared before I was able to use my debit. Wasn't all bad though: bitcoin appreciated so much in that week from when I made my first deposit to when the funds reached my account that I made some decent money but could've been a lot more. Shouldn't be so greedy lol.

Can't wait to stock up when we hit a correction *fingers crossed it happens soon*

Oh and another thing. The coinbase support is the absolute worst. For such a big company you'd think they'd invest in better customer service

yeah. I was able to use my debit for $300. But as for switching to the bank account, it won't even appear in my options until it's verified

Yes it's safe. It's your preference. Personally, I use my debit card which draws the money directly from my bank account anyway.

Got back into NEM, still not much per coin but already a good Marketcap. Could be the next "thing" people that think they got in too late for the BTC and ETH party will invest in. Should have held it when i had 4.5 BTC at 0.000026 Sats.

Decided I'd just get in then and ride it out longer term (months/years) even though I felt bad about it. I think my mind expects a dip shortly after $100 is hit. We'll see.

NEM has been outta control lately too. Wanted to get into it last week before it really took off. I hate entering coins that have doubled or tripled within the past week or so- feels batman knowing that I could've had twice the amount

Kind of. I know it sucks, but if you go to the beginning of the thread and read every damn post like I did, it'll only take you a little while to catch on. There are a few people who seriously know their **** ITT and their posts pretty much teach you most of the basics, reading along in "real time" of the past, watching the correlation with their predictions and what the market actually did. Actually very impressive for some of the posters consistent dead on predictions.

Been reading for a few weeks, only actually using it for 2 weeks. Just before the big explosion, luckily lol. But since its money we're messing with here, better to educate yourself as much as possible.

What's even crazier is that a little over a week ago it was half the price. I was gonna buy at $48 but hesitated. Then it went to $53, then 55, then 60... I finally ended up buying at $69

But now my purchase limit is recharging and the price keeps going up. Crazy that $1000 will now buy less than 10 ETH

I tried to buy when ETH fell back to 33 after hitting 50 but had some tech issues and put it on the backburner for a few weeks. Then I bought at 50 but only like 15 ETH. Been dollar cost averaging up every day the past week.

Could have made more, but I'm up a few grand this week so what the hell. Debating on adding another position at market prices tomorrow (102?)

I think you're right. I just bought more and even though it might dip, 2 weeks from now I think it will be up even more.

I try to buy dips but it's so hard to time. Sometimes it drops close to $10 and then shoots back up within minutes; it's very hard to time those windows when you have a day job.

Something else to consider

Hmm I don't think we are going to completely break through 100 just yet. I imagine we will float around 90-100 for a few days/ through the weekend. If we do it'll be due to all these articles talking about how it touched 100 and the full FOMO influx of new people. The next 2-3 days will be interesting.
