We now have 3 pieces of publicly available evidence indicating Trump knew about the payment, and that it was done to help his campaign:

1) the audio conversation of Trump and Cohen discussing the McDougal payments within the context of a campaign meeting, 2) Cohen's statements in the plea deal and sentencing memos, and 3) AMI's acknowledgement that its participation in the McDougal payment was done to further Trump's campaign.

Those are the publicly available pieces of evidence. And the SDNY is not going to point the finger at the President that he committed a felony worth 5 years in prison without solid proof that he committed a felony worth 5 years in prison.

Benghazi was a witch hunt. Hillary was found to have done the things she was accused of in the email scandal, they just chose not to prosecute. It would be like Trump being guilty of everything, but they choose not to prosecute. It doesn’t make them innocent, just out of legal jeopardy.

no matter how many times someone explains that the NDA is irrelevant, you either refuse to accept it or are incapable of doing so

the charges are not related, in any way, to the NDA. similarly, an NDA is not a defense to any crime
