No. I don't have any great reason here. No one ever talks about a trip to Buffalo so it gets a downvote from me.



Food is great, overpriced in a lot of places, but its still great food. If you are a foodie you should love it, there are vendor trucks in key areas of the city, plenty of places to grub and lots of places to have a cash only meal.



Can't beat the beauty of this southern state. The women are nice too.Or the men...not that there is anything wrong with that.

Thanks for your opinion, appreciate it. Buffalo and surrounding area just because I have never been. I might wait on that though.

NYC is always a good time every time I go there. You are right you will pay for the food but you can get any type of food you want. I love trying new foods and restaurants. Just right now I am low carbing it but I can always find low carb options.

I was just in Myrtle Beach, it was cool, I will be going back sometime for sure. I'd like to visit Charleston area too. Nice Seinfeld reference, I have every season of Seinfeld. And nothing wrong with that, but I like girls lol. But I am happy being single right now.

Pittsburgh and Atlanta yes on purpose, someday. I am sure there are food places and/or breweries in/near both of those which those are my requirements haha.

I really enjoyed Boston, it was cleaner than some other cities I have been to and found some cool places to hang out.


Still haven't decided yet, might be spur of the moment decision and go.



So the guy that was suppose to work with me called out, it was pretty chilly today too, but turned out to be a great day anyways. I had someone come help me for a couple hours and then worked the rest of the day by myself. Sun shining, job turned out nice, listened to some music, no complaints, a good day.

So...only because this will get buried in this thread. I have to admit my absolute love for Pinterest. Guys out there, I know. I ******* know. I hated on it for years not really knowing what it was about. I hated on it from the sidelines. It was trendy, chicks liked it, it probably smelled like rose water and perfume or some other frilly nonsense. It kept popping up in my image searches and ruining searches for simple stuff like doorknobs. I'm not kidding when I tell you I hated it, its format, and the millions of couch models/current fitness dwellers on it...until I made an account and logged in. This site is a****ingmazing. I'm finding all kinds of stuff that I like from fashion to cooking to window treatments (don't judge) to custom woodworking and motorcycles which were the two things that got completely me off guard. Caught me too! Looking for the true mastercraftsmen? Their works are on Pinterest. Not they themselves but their work and methods. Its insane. I've already started on a plank chair, a butchers block, a new closet...grilled tuna burgers...and a self made and sewn bow tie. Hear me out, I'm not gay, I'll still bend anyone over a sink. But Pinterest is really the shizzle.

Glad to get this off my chest, someone please post boobs or an ass shot so we can all move on. TY.

Not sure which to go to.... I have been to Boston, some parts of South Carolina, and NYC. Other places I have not been to yet. Still deciding and seeing if any friends would like to go to any of those places.

I live outside Syracuse and would vote no on Buffalo right now. If you ever want to see the area (which is beautiful btw) late spring to fall is the time to do it Imo. It's brutal cold and we are still buried in snow. The falls are way more enjoyable when it's nice out too. The finger lake region has tons of places to visit but you'd miss out on so much coming now.

Have a fun trip wherever you decide upon.

I just had the most surreal experience...
I was looking for a doctor, a specialist, so I call to schedule an appointment and the doctor answers... in tears. I was like... what... seriously no idea. She (a complete stranger) proceeds to tell me (a complete stranger) in between sobs about some family tragedy that just happened and that she won't be seeing patients for a couple of months. I was like, why don't you just let people leave a message or something... So weird...

In lighter news, I just set up a new a trash can that opens when you wave your hand over it. I put the batteries in it and threw something out without having to step on the floor pivot or touch the trash can. Its nice. I put the can out around 1pm. Around 3pm while walking through the kitchen I noticed the cat perching on the window ledge near the trash can and swiping her paw over the sensor and then pulling the packing paper right back out of the trash can. I cleaned it up and was shooing the cat away just in time to see that the dog has also figured out how to simply muzzle over the sensor to open the trash can and grab the rest of the packing paper from the trash can. My germophobia has basically introduced a self feeder for the dog and cat who no longer have to wait for someone to leave the lid off or shoulder the can to knock it over but can now apparently dine or find new toys with ease. #fml.

Thanks for your input. I was talking to others IRL and if I go that far I want to go to Canada, and I was told I need a Passport. So I guess I'll be getting one of those before making the trip to the area. Thank you for your suggestions, appreciate it very much.

I am off work and the day is still young!

I am thinking about going to New York City today instead. It is not that far to drive, I always have a good time, but I was wondering since the area got snow how it is going to be walking and traveling around the streets?

If anyone is from the area that can let me know I'd appreciate it.

Went to St. Pete today with friends, and here's a few pics I took when there. We were just looking for a pub to stop at, and stumbled along a 'parade' which really was a demonstration/peaceful protest in support of fair wages, and fair farming. As I watched this go by, I was reminded today of how hard life can be for so many in this country.

I was at the airport this afternoon and I was in line at the News kiosk to buy a banana, and just as I got to the front of the line, a guy nearby shouted "MAN DOWN! MAN DOWN! CALL 911!" This big huge guy had collapsed and people were flocking around him, including the kiosk attendants. An EMT team swooped in to tend to the man. They had his shirt up and you could see his big white belly exposed, rising and falling with each labored breath.

Meanwhile, I was standing there with my banana. It’s hard to know what to do in that kind of situation because you’re so thoroughly useless. I don't know CPR and I am not a medical professional. I didn’t need to call 911 because many people already had. I wanted to get a better look but that would have made me a gawker. I also had no idea if the cashier was coming back or not, and I started to feel like an a$$hole for wanting a banana when a man was potentially dying. So I put the banana down and fled the scene.

It's obvious a woman designed this stuff because no sane man can get this stuff off the roll on a consistent basis. If I had a nickel for every time I've had to throw away the roll long before it was empty...I'd have a quarter.

The key to it and other clingy nonsense is to either buy the higher priced ones that have sharper blades or say screw it and get tupperware/gladware.

Round cake platter? Nope, its a single serving plate keeper.
Rectangular cake tray? Nope, pizza slice(s) holder.

You get the idea.

For everything else there is ziplock. And if you are handy with the tape, you can cut a ziplock bag apart and with some crafty skillage place one part over the plate or whatever it is you are trying to keep fresh and tape the ends down with Scotch tape.
