Human Centipede and Serbian Film always come up in the main forum horror threads and I thought they could have been a lot better.
Anyone see Midnight Meat Train? I still need to watch that one.
it was long but a great cat and mouse flick. Just well acted and well done. Probably top 10 of all genres for me.rumpler of stiltskins

I think I recommended that one to you, I really liked it. Need to find a copy for my collection.
Since Serbian Film has been brought up I'll switch to non-horror horror movies
Taxidermia, Salo, Irreversible, Pink Flamingos, The Skin I Live In, Inside, The Girl Next Door, or Header are all good family films5/3/1 Log

Not sure if these two news ones are even classified as horror.
But World War Z - Not really horror more of an action blockbuster kinda thing big CGI, kinda reminded me of a real life last of us at parts. dissappointing anti climatic ending tho.
and The Purge- Again more an action but cool concept and some decent plot twists, enough to keep me interested.
both worth watching at least once.*Misc Artistic Crew* Curlin' Pencils. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
* Chloe Moretz Crew*
*Always pick 4 Crew*
*Breaking Bad Fanatic Crew*

Watched the Collector and The Collection
I don't really feel like reviewing both separately so I'll just talk about them both here. Both movies were entertaining if you want a movie where you just kind of shut your mind off and watch what is going on. However there was a lot of lazy writing in here that just really took away from the movie which seemed to have a promising premise.
You had a man/murderer who was a master of combat, knife throwing, and possessed super human strength. In the first movie (The Collector) the action really begins when the main character Arkin attempts burglarize a house only to get trapped by this serial killer. The traps are literally not there 30 seconds prior to the main character entering, but then the house is magically booby trapped. I guess the directors want you to believe Arkin somehow avoided all of these traps randomly while entering the house, but then when he tries to leave he is trapped for about an hour. This was when the movie really turned to being goofy for me. I mean they didn't really offer any explanation for this, it just sort of happened. The entire movie was just the main character running around the house avoiding traps, trying to save the family, looking for the little girl, etc. I mean there was no real substance. It seemed like the directors just wanted to show off what cool trap ideas they had come up with. You also weren't really pushed to fear the collector. Overall he was portrayed as a bit dumb in and of himself (as he had to rely on the traps). Even then Arkin was able to sneak around the house for a majority of the movie without getting caught. Acting on behalf of the other characters was lack luster. While there is a bit more of an explanation, the whole "collecting" idea didn't really add up to much. The murderer just kind of picked one person who he wanted to keep, threw them in a box, and brought them to the next murder site where he exchanged them for someone else.
In the sequel the movie suffered more of the same problems. The Collection featured even more over the top traps such as a giant room sized pinwheel of blades that no one seemed to notice that kills 90% of a dance club. You get to see the collectors lair which, somehow, no one notices because it is an "abandoned factory." Somehow the collector has millions of dollars to outfit the factory with security systems, traps, his own supply of zombie humans hopped up on drugs, etc. The acting in this one is just as lackluster from the supporting cast. The story is basically more of the same. Arkin has to go in and save a millionaires daughter from the collector, after having escaped his grasp the first time. Just like before most of the movie is spent showing off the cool traps.
For both I give them 2 bags of popcorn each placed on bear traps.
