Hey guys! Not so much sleep last night- taking it easy here lunch time! Gotta save my energy for the run to the bus at the mall, I have to try and make it in 15 minutes or I have to wait for the 5:30 bus, and I don't like that idea. The bus that goes to the mall from here doesn't get there on time, so...running it is Then it's pre-workout on the bus, then running from the last stop to my house to get in my horizontal push/pull. Feeling uber lean today- it's still almost TOM, too! I've been burning lots of calories lately though. I'm kind of much less motivate to workout with no goals, and it's basically just training for asthetics now, trying to keep what I've got. I'm way too lazy to care about setting goals, too I do love lifting, but finding the energy is tough-makes it seem more like work than fun. But I don't want to get fat and mushy so a workout will happen! Just so tired today. 5:44 hours of sleep last night. ugh! lol! Tired. Small walk at lunch, but it's freaking cold out so I came back. Anyways, gotta get back soon. Be back later with workout!

Hey Lori! Glad the new job is going well! If its through the temp agency the pay may be higher once you work through the contract and they can higher you, if you haven't discussed it with them yet and they seem interested in it I would see what they offer
You sound really busy! Lots of running around, no wonder you are having a tough time recovering. I think cutting back to 3 times a week sounds like a good plan, at least until you decide on a goal or know for sure whats to expect day to day.If this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.

Haha! Thanks P!
Thanks Ham! I've been using that weight for a long time now, and did more weight in the past- my deadlfits are sucking lately Happy to be switching them up a bit
Hi Erica!! I'm getting paid the same as everyone else there, unfortunately Each place I go pays different- it's not dependant on the agency, just the company I don't know though- that place is too dark and dreary and lonely for me Not enough young people. I love the older people who are there, but it's so....meh. Plus the work is boring as hell. I'd like to explore my options a little more
Thanks Erica! 3 days is fine by me right now, I could do it every day after work- but I hardly get any Stephen time as it is, and it's nice to relax sometimes during the week. It's been non-stop lately! If I could workout in the morning things may be more manageable, but I have to be in bed by 10:30 every night and I don't finish working out until 7:15 every day, so that only gives me a few hours to get everything else done like cook supper + shower + do my hair + make lunches + clean the room + dishes + more dishes...and I DO want SOME time to chill. SO much to do! Can't imagine adding kids on top of it allTeam Cookies Give You Superpowers

Looking great Lori - nice quads - your journal is so popular - I feel like by the time I comment on new photos, everyone has and the actual photos are several pages behind so my compliment seems like it is coming from left field
Totally hear you about nights getting taken up - that is why I have to work out in the morning or I run the risk of missing my workouts! (what is up with the ever perpetuating dirty dishes, eh?)

Great leg workout! You are too funny with your fluffy legs self-image - you have some kick azz legs girl!
I think the 1 leg day a week is a good idea, I really hope that you can continue to get great work in for that one day and then properly recover. Hey - if you aren't happy with it you can always adjust right?!

Haha! Thanks!
I know- everytime I look there's dishes to be washed! Drives me crazy! lol! Missing the dishwasher we had at home
Aww, thank you! I've been doing legs once a week for a while now, and have in the past and I always found I liked it better because I was stronger each time...Any more than once and my second workout always stinks Funny! I may try to throw in a light leg day on Friday's or something, depending. I've been feeling yucky on and off now for so long- my body's on the brink of deconstructing! So I'm trying to ease off when necessary, push harder when I can, you know..
Thanks! HAD. lol! SO many sick people everywhere, it's crazy! Blah!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

Yeppers, feeling funky again today. Oh my! I need to pick up a good multi this weekend! And some snow pants. I think it's just from the weather changing and running around outside everyday and freezing my butt off/taking public transportation/not getting enough sleep, etc. It's annoying because I want to be more hardcore, but it feels like I'm constantly coming down with something! Will be taking Cold-FX when I get home Will do vertical push pull tomorrow, and try to add in a hypertrophy leg day on Friday.
Yup! Just relaxing here at lunch! I was really happy though with yesterday's workout. When I first started doing weighted push-ups I could only do 40lbs x2, now I'm repping that! Next time I'll try 42.5lbs ALso- my hammies were harder than they've ever been when I woke up this morning- they looked different! I was surprised! I'm going to try to take a piccie later if I remember! Anyway, I'm going to come visit your journals while I canTeam Cookies Give You Superpowers

SLEEP girl SLEEEP!!!
The multi is probably a good idea - I need to get back to that myself. It has been a tough fall for a lot of people with constantly catching something - I think we've been passing the same cold around here for more than a month in my house. The hubs slept on the couch all morning because he was starting to feel crappy again I have been sleeping more lately than I have in a long while, and I really think it is helping a lot. Sleep - highly recommendedPlease join me on my journey to find balance:

Hahaha! I love my sleep! I went to bed last night at 10:30, but I suck at sleeping for whatever reason- it's never restful. I'm up at 5:45 every morning, but I only actually sleep anywhere from 5 and a half hours to 6 hours and 20 minutes. Last night was 6 hours and 20 minutes according to my bodymedia (which is creepily accurate) my chart is always all broken up. If it's not my sinuses waking me up it's acid reflux. Sigh! I sleep on an incline and have a nasal spray and zantac/tums for acid reflux, and sinus decongestants but nothing works for me. Lately I even started taking melatonin, and that helps a bit but I don't know what else to do. Last Friday night we slept from 12:00 until 11:30 the next morning and I barely got 8 hours Oh woe is me! My eyes are just constantly burning.

Not being able to sleep sucks! Recently I've been going through a habit of not being able to sleep on a Sunday night, so I had to start going to the gym on a Sunday morning, and not going on a Monday morning. Seems to have helped a bit. But I've always been a really good sleeper so all of a sudden only getting 3-4hours of sleep a night was terrible!
Hopefully you'll find the balance of everything soon.My Journal:http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=142503571&p=835905131

Are you the type for Benedryl to make you drowsy or hyper? It makes me sleepy so whenever I have a stuffy head at all I'll take that to help dry me out at night and it does help me get deeper sleep (buy the generic - less $). Might help a bit with drying out your congestion and helping you get a little more sleep during the night.

Hi there! Yeah, I hate not getting enough sleep- it's awful! I also have to schedule my workouts around days where I know I won't sleep enough. Mondays I'm the most rested so I scheduled legs on that day Hahahaha!
Thank you I think I'll adjust- it's only the second week
Oh, Benedryl is amazing! Love that stuff! It knocks me out I should give that a shot some night- thank youTeam Cookies Give You Superpowers

Awesome new avi and boomie pics, Gobbs I always chuckle that you take those amazing, hotz pics wearing those socks of yours!!! Regarding the sleep, or lack of, have you ever tried running a humidifier in your bedroom at night? Also, unless it's just a saline spray for your nose, a decongestant nasal spray will actually cause a rebound/addictive effect and make your stuffiness worse. I've also had patients tell me they've had good GERD relief talking Papaya enzyme tablets.
