Check traded volume per 24h. The higher the volume, the more liquid the coin.

Will try, might be a little wrong on some points but i think i know my stuff fairly well after a few months of researching this stuff.
1. You already have a wallet, why are you asking? ... you just download the QT wallet for whichever coin you want, and that's your wallet. On Windows the files is stored in "%appdata%\Dogecoin\wallet.dat". Your first receive address is made for you, and you can make more, but you should re-backup your wallet whenever you create new addresses, because the file changes (afaik).
2. Download KeePass and use it to auto-generate and store the wallet passwords, then just backup the wallet.dat file (after changing the password and closing the software) to a USB stick or something. That way i think the only way to get 'hacked' would be if someone had your KeePass database, the password to it, plus your wallet.dat file. Pretty secure. Exchanges and pool sites are another thing, they're only as secure as they're made to be, so they can sometimes be exploited, so it's nice to store anything you're not actively trading with in your offline wallet.
3. It inflates based on the community behind it. DOGE has done a lot to get media attention, this inflates the price, as does people actively trading it and generating interest in it so that more people join the party (like OP has by making this thread).
4. I believe the dev can make some changes if they're needed, say if the coin is going to be overmined or something, but they generally don't. And i don't think they can make any kind of change that could really alter the market reaction to the coin. The coins can't be regulated though, that's the point of BTC/altcoins.
5. Anyone can do it, there's lots of ****-coins out there. The occasionally gem comes along and if you mine/buy some of that in it's infancy, you can suddenly be on CEO-time overnight in some cases. Gotta get lucky for that of course.

Doge is now being used as main coin as well, instead of trading every other alt coin to BTC or LTC, you can now also trade to DOGE on a couple of exchanges.
Doge ATMs are being built, but keep in mind that DOGE has only been out less than 2 months. In the near future you will be able to trade DOGE for cash though. (or sell/buy on r/dogemarket. Prices here are 10% over market though"Kabananga is believed to be the leader in penis-size to wealth ratio (ala crazy/hot scale) with 3 inches ahead of other prominent CEO's." ~ Time Magazine

Doge has the potential to be a lot more mainstream than BTC. Bitcoin still has the stigma of drugs and cp behind it, plus for a lot of people buying 1 whole btc is pretty intimidating, but when they learn they can buy 1000s of DOGE for a ten spot, it becomes more interesting. I have tipped (on reddit) away a lot of doge, donated to the jamaican bobsled team, and lots of other causes.

If you send me a small amount of doge I'll send some more back. I don't have a ton yet, but I'm getting there. I want to have 1M Doge eventually.Total: 1578 | 633/378/633- meet bests | 645/385/660- gym bests

1. Make account at a mining pool. (Wouldn't mine solo unless you have a huge set of rigs or the coin is brand new)
2. Build a rig with nice GPUs.
3. Set up cgminer on your rig, point to your pool "worker" addresses.
4. Watch the coins roll in.
I had a 3 card rig, tried upgrading to 6 but the board was being a pain in the ass, so i got a couple more boards to test. Ended up settling for now on 2 x 3 GPU rigs, will up them to 4/5 cards each later this month. The current setup gets me 5-5.1MH, so not too shabby. I keep it outside in a canvas housing (too noisy for the house) with some poverty ventilation i made from computer fans, runs pretty cool temps, lol.

You can, and lots of people do, but you won't earn much. You can increase it by trading between coins though and eventually you could snowball your worth up. If you don't want to build and maintain a rig though, you could just buy some coins off one of the exchanges.
A buddy of mine invested $250 in DOGE and now has around 10x that. Also spent about $2000 2 months ago on BTC trades and it's worth $6000+ now. The prices fluctuate a lot, so that could half or double any day if something happens in the market. Dont' put in more cash than you can afford to lose.
