Got the game today on xbox, 1st impressions was that the game looks great, plays great and is in general pretty fun, really like the nanosuit, but the FPS could do with being just 10-15 FPS higher on consoles. Feels quite...well not quite as smooth as say Black ops. I know Crysis is technically advanced ect but it would make it much more fun for me i think.

I was getting killed really quick and i thought it was connection based then i realised i kept forgetting to put armour mode on whilst engaging haha, it does help an awful lot!

Good game though, just hope they find a way of making hte FPS better, even if it means making the graphics worse by a small amount!

happened to me too, shoot while cloaked and your energy bar is drained
its all button habits, LB, then shoot, back to RB to get the dogtag

i agree with hutch, this game will grow on you, just stick with it
the perks get better, the attachments make the gun better(3 attachments allowed on a gun, without a perk!)

Why aren't people talking about Crysis 2 on here? Nobody likes that game? The graphics are awesome. I just wish they had a multiplayer mode that removed that cloaking bullsht. I'm tired of running right past guys hiding in the corner on a stairwell and getting shot in the back. Is there a classic mode you can unlock? Elpresador keeps mentioning that on Youtube....

Well I liked the SP a lot but the MP is plagued with so many hackers it's not even enjoyable. Go to mycrysis.com to see how bad people hate the MP aspect.

My take on the game is that Crytek did a decent job with this title though the console port argument is out of control. If you look at the CryEngine 3 it devs multiple platforms at once so making something specific to one platform is not in the cards for this game or perhaps even future titles from them. Personally I think they achieved a good balance for all three current platforms to enjoy. Could they improve it, of course but the future is cloudy right now so PC gamers can still hope. Console folk get what they get but it isn't too shabby in my opinion.

Crytek was quoted recently as saying the reason DX11 wasn't released for the PC was because they spent so much time consolidating DX10 features into DX9 that they couldn't finish with their deadline EA set for them. They said DX11 will come down the pike months from now. Will we get improved 3D meshes and upgraded textures? I don't know but I'm sure modders out there will do that eventually.

Like I said the MP is unplayable due to hackers so for now I have beat the SP twice both on Post Human Warrior and will take it for what it is.

Minor FPS issues, it is a grower for sure! Alot of fun, noticed my aim on Blops was really bang on when i went back on it after Crysis, not sure why..probally because of the better FPS. It is alot of fun, and worth buying for sure!

Played up to lvl 6.
I'm addicted.
This game isnt your average run and gun.

I agree the DX11 API will bring some cool stuff but the hackers are the number one issue that needs to dealt with.

In my opinion a great SP story and game play awaits you. The MP is another story as a majority of servers are plagued with hackers and cheats so hopefully you can find a decent and clean server to log into.

this game doesnt have near the camping like other fps's do
3 reasons imo
first, you can see where your teammate has been downed by an emblem and ive noticed, once you kill somebody, their teammates will be on your ass withing seconds

second, the mobility in this game is quick, even if there is a large map, you can cover it very quickly by sprinting.

third, dogtags, once you kill someone, unless you have the retrieve perk, you must go get that dogtag, reduces camping

im also addicted, just got my stealth enhanced 3, reduces power drain from stealth

1080p is more useful on larger screens.

if you have a 32in lcd thats 1080p, you paid extra for nothing.

so basically if you have a larger screen (42in+) you might see a noticeable difference between 720 and 1080

I'm getting handled on multiplayer. K/D is just a bit over 1. Most games now I tend to go negative. Not getting the hang of it. I wish my stealth lasted longer. Right now, it only last a couple of seconds it seems and then I have to uncloak and immediately get merced by some ******* who was following me. The good thing about the game is that they really reward you for grinding out your modules and getting them enhanced. That is the good thing. The bad thing is the connection. It's pretty horrid most games. I can have 90% full power and max armor turned on and a guy can shot me when he's cloaked (meaning he'll lose all his power doing so) get a couple of extra rounds into me, I can return fire and I'll die. I should win that gunfight more often than not unless it's close-range and he has a shotgun. Then I watch the killcam and I didn't even take a shot. Strong wtf.

I really dig the game still though. I just get frustrated with it sometimes. I have to take a break, put in black ops, and just twitch shoot my dual skorpions for a bit.

worked my k/d to 1.92, 2.25 w/l with no teams

I downloaded this game, but I'm not sure if I'm going to go online with it, or even play it. Seems like crytek took a step down on this game and wtf is this invisibility Sh!t? Great way to ruin multiplayer imo. And also, too much like COD franshise= do not want. I'll prob stick to playing halo reach and battlefield BC 2 for now.

liking the game a ton so far. i haven't run into hackers so my only complaint about MP is the lag.. some games will be good and then others will be horrible and it isn't on my end.

Its terrible for me. I have never had this many issues with lag in an FPS before. If I am not the host I will suck.

Sniping is out of the question, I can be aiming at a guy not even moving and it wont register the hit...

Edit: Also for some reason all the games I am in the host has a great connection any every one else is sitting at 2-3 yellow bars. Its weird

after putting in a few hours, i'm loving the single player. it is a bit buggy at times but it's still very enjoyable.

as for MP.. if there isn't lag, it's a ton of fun. i don't like the over use of stealth though.. i think i need to grind through to a higher level because my nano energy runs out in no time.. while everyone else is running around cloaked and hardly draining theirs.

Maybe it'll grow on me. But MP is pretty frustratingly similar to COD in my opinion.
I'm just now past the part where you enter the tunnel to access the C.E.L.L. mainframe in the campaign, and I've yet to see any of the epic **** that everyone's been raving about happen.

Awesome game, just finished the campaign, not interested in multi-player. Certainly the best single-player in a while I think. Graphics amazing, and it runs great too. My PC isn't very good by todays standards, but I could run on medium...I think? Stupid options, but it looked amazing and ran amazing.

I just got this game in the mail yesterday ...I played it for a few hours after work yesterday. I must say I like it pretty well so far. The multiplayer is very fast paced. I never really played halo, but I am digging this so far.
