it was pretty cool, something fun to do with the wife on a sunday night. I should probably be in bed with the hours I work, but workouts are just irresistable to me especially on the Con-Cret. plus I find it hard to fall asleep on Sunday nights usually. probably from sleeping in sunday morning.....

it's definitely different, works the muscles in a way they aren't quite as used to. I need to increase my functional ability as much as my strength (thanks to my fellow logger Doc whose workouts made me realize this). off to work in a little bit and then should be hittin the weights on lunch. Chest, shoulders, and tri's for me today, excited for it and ready to hit some new PR's!

starting tomorrow, I'm going to begin implementing pool plyometrics 3 times a week during the season, I have heard great things about them and since my knees are banged up, this should allow me to push myself, get faster, etc. etc. with the low impact of being in the pool. I'm pretty darn excited, I want to start tonight but pool will be closed by the time I get off work, so I'm going to get in their tomorrow 5:30 in the morning to do work!

Nice, I really value functional strength as well, there's not a lot of situations where you need to be able to press a heavy ass bar off your chest.
And if I had fully addressed how awesome both those pics are I don't think I would have had time to reply to Doc as well but suffice it to say, I wholeheartedly approve.
This is awesome, I've been wanting to get into the pool at my gym for a while but have never managed it. This might be the motivation I need, my joints would thank me right now too.

Thanks for the comments y'all. In answer to the question, my lunch break is around an hour and a half, but I manage to dip out 30 mins early to hit the gym most days (perks of being the boss). sometimes I end up without one at all, but such is life, especially in the military. Glad everybody liked the pics, there will of course be more...
Nice pics to you too Doc, brings back memories of my high school days when I played. I really wish I would've worked harder at it and trained right back then. I have to say you look scary on that field bro.

Started off with 2 scoops of my Blue Razz, tasted great as always and mixed perfectly yet again. How is it Pro-Mera managed to do what nobody else seems to know how to?

Endurance - 10/10 - felt good today, like nothing was gonna make me tired. I wanted to keep going but more on that in a bit...
Recovery - 10/10 - I don't think this miracle powder will ever get less, at least it would surprise me if it did.
I say I wanted to keep going because I did. apparently EVERYBODY and their frickin brother decided today was a good day to go to the gym, and then turn it into social hour. this is one of my biggest peeves and infuriates me like no other! Don't show up at the gym in a group of 6, and then clog up the machines talking about stupid bull**** wasting everybody elses time. I could rant about this all night, but I will leave it at that.
Legs, back, and bi's tomorrow. I'm on duty all day so I'll be able to dip out at some point to hit the weights. perhaps I'll be able to convince wifey to meet me there

just ran some sprints with the chute but felt slow as all crap, and am not even going to count them in my log, my knees still cant drive like I need to...
From here to the rest of the season I'm going to get my speed work done with low impact hydro plyos, and dynamic leg lifting.. I'm not doing any more sprints, or anything until the season is over, very dissapointed with how my speed is feeling right now but oh well just a fork in the road, I could have an injury and not be able to run at all so....
