Bump to Designer Whey Bars!!
I love the designer bars, particularly One-Way. I tried the Detour and it's alright, a bit like a Snickers-lite. But it doesn't even compare to the One-Way bar. It's really filling, and sweetened with Splenda. Check out these stats:
(Per Serving)
Energy: 1255kJ (300 Cal)
Protein: 30g
Fat, total: 8g
-saturated: 4g
Carbohydrates, total: 26g
-sugars: 12g
Sodium: 280mg
Potassium: 340mg
Calcium: 140mg
Iron: 0.7mg
Phosphorus: 140mg
Also, props are due to Met-RX Protein Plus bars, and EAS Myoplex bars. Oh, and Dorian Yates' Pro Bar II. All of these products are superb in their own right, great for a pre-workout energy rush or just a meal on their own.
And a bit of advice: when making home-made protein bars, be sure to use dark chocolate for those all-important cocoa bean flavanoids that crush cancer.Last edited by Max Protein; 08-10-2005 at 07:57 AM.

Trioplex bars own so hard they are like 420 calories, but give me bad gas.
Musclesandwich when you want a candybar is good with similar nutrition tastes the best. Worst protein bar ever: Universal
OK bars: Powerbar Pria, good for endurance athletes etc. tastes mediocre
Nitrotech Bars: ok/good taste, but small and pricey

I've tried out a great deal of bars and here are my thoughts.
Someone mentioned Protein 2 Go bars, yes they are pretty tasty but they contain a fair amount of HF Corn Syrup. Along the same lines are Promax bars, I believe the first ingredient is Corn Syrup.
Onto the good.
Tri-o-Plex bars - I'm a big fan of these in particular the Peanut Butter Banana due to the higher amounts of fibre in them (5 or 6 grams)
Myoplex Chocolate Chocolate Chip - Just tasty
Lebrada Lean Body cookie bars - It's been covered by many people, these bars are amazing.

WLS patient
I am a Weight Loss Surgery patient, not a body builder. So, for my needs, I love the Power Crunch bars.
These are called "snack bars" but have 14g of protein and low carbs. I like three of the four flavors. Peanut butter, cookies and cream, and french vanilla. The triple choc. is too much.
I buy from bodybuilding.com and get a good price if order in quantity. I pay 13.xx for a box of twelve + shipping, etc. I also, in an emergency, can find the bars in another town.
I love the taste, must have protein supplements, and need a treat. This bar serves all my needs.
