Do you realize how expensive food would be if restaurants had to pay normal wages for their servers? Food cost is ****ing expensive, more than you could possibly imagine. The "tip the cook" thing is retarded, they make really good hourly. Even the line cooks do.

And you're not just hurting servers. As servers, unless it's full service, we're tipping out multiple people. If you don't tip, you cost us AND the bussers money and you hurt the restaurant as a whole.

No tip crew logic is so off base it's kind of funny.

We are legit. But its hard to follow through.. whoever I'm with always leaves a tip. Waiter forgot my friends shrimp one day and he still left a.tip. I was like.. u wot m8?

I always tip if service is good. Even if it's bad, i'll still tip something. Although, if you have an attitude with me you'll jack ****. Nothing pisses me off more than someone having a tone with me. You mess up my order or something, whatever, sh*t happens, but don't be an ass. I will tip as high as 25% if you are good. Went to a Sports Bar and Grill with my friend last week and women was very good and nice. Check was 35 and gave 45..my friend was just putting in liek two bucks for tip but I gave her extra.

Do you live in some awesome area? I wouldn't even know where a valet service was in boston. Srs.

Honestly, yes, my area is pretty wealthy, but my family isn't exactly at all lol. I work for an out source company in which we have all different accounts from catering halls, restaurants, to country clubs. Just look online for some in your area. If you can find a prominent hotel, i'd look into that. I heard valets for hotels make great tips with ones with casinos.

I uploaded my resume through that which the site then sends to the ones you chose. They then have you type out some sort of "what you can bring to company, etc. I guess like a Cover Letter? Have any of you ever applied to ones like this? Do I still have to email my resume to them and a cover letter?

email it to the head of HR department if you can find out their email. If not then just email it to a general HR email address.

Well you can try going thru the site GetBigYo mentioned or just try to hit up different places on your own. I'm pretty sure most places put out internship offers just like places advertise for jobs but you probably gotta show some initiative for the big ones.

this ask an advisor or counselor. Usually try to go through your college's career center first since they are usually able to pull some strings for their students

If not use sites like indeed careerbuilder monster and craigslist. Another good site is studentcentral.com i think you can only use it if your college is in their database.

This thread is going all too well. I'll look into that more, but then again I won't need to worry for at least another 6 months.

I'm so behind. Im not even "technically" them major yet because im so behind and haven't even taken any core econ classes yet. I likely won't even get an internship this summer most likely. Im just going to apply to like every Business related one. Have to at least get one call for an interview lol. Im banking on my work experience on my resume. Not even applying to the big companies. I'll wait for that when I get more experience.

Apply for the big companies anyways it doesnt hurt, if anything you just waste some time but you never know you could get. Just make sure to network with people every time you can while you're still in college cause once you graduate its going to be much harder.

Well there's basically 2 routes I want to go if I get my law degree. Work for the Fed or try to get into sports (agent, front office, etc). Sports is the real dream, but also seems impossible lol.

Unless you know someone.. you pretty much have to start at the bottom in sports. Even Goodell started in sales.
