Keetman is my idol.
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Local center was parting with standard Ivanko Machined Plates @ .80 per pound. A little steep, but not all beat up so I bought:
4 x 45
4 x 35
8 x 25
8 x 10
8 x 5
8 x 2.5
I have a nice set of used Intek Rubber Plates I think I will sell. When those go, I will get a few more of the Ivankos. The Inteks ran me like $330 for around 420 lbs, but they have no 45's in there. I also got a used Ivanko bar ($550 new) with those, so I figure I am just WAAYYYY ahead on that deal. Calling the bar free I will try to get $1.50/lb on the Inteks and end up with double the weight in the Ivankos for the same price.▪█───────█▪

Yup, I told my wife I would sell all my other plates which slightly eased the tension of me buying more stuff. I am now on a quest for more 45 lb revos.
The guy also had an old Ivanko bar with bolts holding the sleeves on. Was the OB-84 the only olympic bar built like that? I didn't make him an offer because I didn't know what it was. The inside of the collars did have Ivanko engraved on them.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #53 ▪█─────█▪

Well I was hoping to finally get to join the club this week but was unable to make it to a CL meeting before another person scooped up the revolvers I was looking at. I figured with you guys being the barbell crew, maybe you could help me with some dumbells..
I purchased a set of standard cast ivanko DB's this past week. I got pairs of 40s and 50s @40cents a lb and while I was there, the guy just gave me the rest of what he had in the garage. I got for free ( all single DB's) 5,10, 25 and a coated 30 lb DB, also got a two row Tuff Stuff Db rack for free. I was looking online and haven't had any luck trouble finding singles. I know all DB's will normally be sold in pairs so I am not sure which direction to go. If you folks could give me any leads or pointers I sure would appreciate it. Since I got them for free I don't mind paying to get them paired up, new or used. Don't really care about old rusty weights either if anyone has some sitting around.
Had a friend give me a free pair of 70lb ivanko rubber coated DB's this last week for free as well. I don't know what Ivanko god I pleased but if people could just continue to give me free weights I will be one happy sob.

@Reeve - Those high dollar chrome plates look really nice. Did you buy them new or find them in that condition used?

Call me foolish, but I've been buying them brand new. 2 bucks a pound.. First pair I bought in 1999. They are not even manufactured anymore. I know a retailer that goes to an Ivanko warehouse and searches around in the backs of shelves to get the last of them. He has a pair of 100 lb. plates ready for me that I'll be getting soon. I'm going to build a gym in the garage. All plates will match: 2@100, 2@45, 2@35, 2@25, 4@10, 12@5, 6@2.5, 6@1.25 ...everything is Olympic. Walls will be dark in color with maple floors...the chrome will really pop out. This is going to sound really O.C.D., but I even wax them.
