Your shoulder/rib lock is a great way to bench. That same position is also good for standing curls.
And, just a quick shout out for floor presses. LOVE THEM!!

When I did the floor presses.. I kept thinking this isn't gonna help,, the range of motion is short and I just felt like it wasn't reall doing much. BUT then I finished and damn the minute I tried the next exercise I knew it harder then I thought! LOL I was thinking damn where did my strength go.

I'll have to try it on standing bb curls! I renctenly just hit 110 lb bb curl! I was stoked! LOL, we have alot small guys in my gym and when I pick 80, 90, or 100 lb preloads and curl them ,,, OMG everybody guy around me stops and stares!! We have very few heavy lifters in our gym. So I kinda stand out there. We have a few serious lifters but even they aren't looking to pl or even build alot of size..(girl pler at a collage gym that doesn't have pl team..kinda makes peeps take notice) LOL, nobody likes to lift with me! I use to have this habit when we all lived together of getting up every morning at 5 am and going to make a ride around the bay and then I would come home eat and wake them up for sex! LOL Afterward I would go run.. This was actually a set pattern in my training program at the time. I was using sex as a form of active recovery. So yes we did this every day!
I can actually back up with research how sex can boost your recovery time! It's a common practice in ultra runners. We have long known the benefits of sex to training program!
