First attempts at touch with this shirt and went way better than I thought! Was close on 545. 585 felt so ****ing light and the stroke was going so damned smooth I done got a chubby and lost focus on my form. Had to rerack cause I lost tension where I needed it.
I’m straight up putting 605 up at the meet!! Gonna do the next four weeks with 3x3 2” to keep getting that lockout strength up and loosen shirt and that will be a solid attempt.

UPPER RAW
Hammer Press 135x5x10
Hammer Decline 70x5x10
Seated row 80x5x12
Wide lat pull down 90x5x12
Concentration curl 25x4x10
I know what your thinking. This looks like a bb workout. Don’t know if I said it but I got a gym membership. Really wanna go for my Thursday’s and Friday’s to 1) lose weight 2) work on a lot of stabilizer muscles that are just hard to do home gym.
It’s at EoS so honestly I’m ok with that. The bench’s ****ing suck so I won’t be tempted to use em (tried today and lols at how slippery it was) and I wanna have a barbell free chest day to ease on shoulder. So hammer machine lets me pump and all.
Even once this meet is over I will still do powerlifting home **** Monday and Tuesday. It’s too far to think about right now but Friday’s workouts will look like this for now.

Wide stance helped a lot. Hit depth with 615 but that was with 4 revs and not 5 on wraps.
Next week is last week I can balls out on squat. Will adjust attempts after I figure that **** out.
Deadlifts are definelty close to topped out. Next week will be last x5 (hopefully) and then numbers figured out.

Stopped there. Back was tender today. Stretched at work and all the muscles tightened up bad. So today when 545 felt heavy as **** I didn’t know what I was gonna do. Just wanted 575 in my hands at least for one rep. 2 felt alright but knew if I went for 3 at all I was asking for trouble.
I just want 605 at the meet so it’s not like I’m set back by a lot.

Finding ways to work on form with wraps now that I’m wider. Plus I’m not gonna be able to do a lot of straps down reps Monday. So gonna do wrap volume Thursday and Monday’s will be full gear to the top and stop there then Deadlift.

Not bad. I’m gonna add 100 to whatever I hit in wraps on Thursday and treat it like a 2nd. My lever belt screws came out so didn’t attempt 685 cause double buckle belt in gear feels horrible.
4th set of 635 Deadlift felt good so left a set in tank.

MEET NUMBERS REVISTED AND FINALIZED
This is it. 2 full weeks of training left and then a full week off.
Squat
1st 660 2nd 715 3rd 745
Bench
1st 545 2nd 590 3rd 615
Deadlift
1st 605 2nd 660 3rd 690
Total
1st 1805 2nd 1965 3rd 2055
Not much else to say. I know 650 needs to be my worst squat attempt to be comfortable and hit the total record. (Opener Squat and both 2nds does it) but I’m not gonna take any huge jumps in squat till I pass.

JAY! I think it's awesome you're branching out to work on other areas. Just sitting on the stationary bike once in a while and watching the big flat screens (if your gym has them lol) can be fun lol! One thing I'll say is yes the cables are for burn out work and not important but if you have decent machines like pec decks or lat pulldowns to sort of "isolate" areas, along with dumbbell work, DO. IT.
No harm in trying to work on the finer details of trying to get bigger or stronger. You're not building muscle to get oiled up to pose on stage, you're doing it to move some mother frickin weight! I hope you can find a path to progress with your gym work. I agree the benches suck as do the bars most time, but if the machines are good and if they have a decent set of dumbbells then you're set. I lift at home as well (Rogue Monster Lite Half Rack, Iron and an OB86-B bar) but have been to a local myself. It's fun to mess around in there some times. Mine isn't a true PL gym, but it does have a couple racks and deadlift platform.

It’s just EoS but yeah it’ll be good to go back and get some other muscles stronger and get to my old weight class.
But not going back till after meet. I ****ing caught the flu 3 WEEKS OUT and am not happy. I lost 15lbs cause of it and still feel like dog **** even today and I got sick Saturday.
I went into gym today just to move. Hopefully Thursday I can pick up training cycle but I think I’m ****ed.

Yup. Thanks to all the “new year new me” *******s. Should have known better than to go when my immune system is shot already from trying to peak into a meet and none of them carry towels so guess how many are cleaning **** off.
565 in my hands felt like death today. I’ll have a better guess what I’m doing Monday when I can get back into gear but already guessing I’m trimming it all back just to steal the total record.

Yup. Big next task. Rest for the month. Move to flats. Hire the vanilla gorilla. Regonals in August
The blow up was actually during warm ups. Some guys asked to warm up on my bar and I said ok and (not making excuses) but you ever get really agitated when you’re still sick? Like I let my emotions get crazy and started yelling at two of the dudes and we were getting close to squabbles and the meet director came over put me in check and that was that. Like after my initial word vomit I felt dumb but then testosterone and all that kicked in so we all yelled.
My daughter was laughing when the meet was over cause me and the one guy are friends on Instagram now though. She says it’s bull**** dudes can blow up at each other and bond over that ****. Lol
As for vids I didn’t think about it last night but deleted attempts. Squats were 645 and bench was 545 which was all **** I can handle in gym and last night I decided that I am 90% certain I’m about to hire a coach and I’m 100% certain I’m moving into flats cause I can’t stay vertical enough in gear to hit depth comfy in gear that I’m being stupid about it.
