Well, everybody's got the lift that they're the best at...bench has pretty much always been mine. My dad's a bencher, both my brothers are benchers - it's just what we're made for! Still fighting to catch up with Jen Thompson, but I'll get there one of these days!

Mason (my brother that's not Link) and his girlfriend are in week 3 of "Couch 2 5K" something or another. They came to dad's to watch the Chiefs game, so I got to do today's run with them. It was fun!

You mean one brother is, and the other should be because he's built better than either of us for lifting, but instead sells women's clothing and likes guys? And Dad keeps telling me "just wait" when I tell him my bench numbers, but mine keep going up and he keeps not going to the gym. I've also seen him squat over 500 with no training.

Mason still benched more than he squatted in high school...just like you. And dad is probably one of a very select few to have rotator cuff surgery, take a couple of years off, then bench 275 on his first day back.

...and thanks! The "yes" machine is the hip abductor. Basically, you double a band around your knees and sit on a below-parallel box, and push out. It's like the machine, except it's a band and you do a static hold instead of doing reps. It's good for helping to push your knees out during squats (and sumo DL).
I warned him that I might. It was my first time doing Metal briefs, I had to test my workmanship. I'd feel super stupid/terrible if he went to use them and they exploded!

your crossfit workouts just tire me out!!! and I'm just reading them lol! I do need to incorporate sprints and stuff into my routine though...I'm not ready for crossfit but sprints could be my baby steps lol...great squat video..now when you do the box squats are you actually sitting down or does your butt touch the box and then you come back up? I need to put these in my routine too!

I sit back and let my hips deload a little on box squats, but still try to stay tight at the bottom of the lift. It's a total hamstring killer.

The benches at Vessel's are fun! For some reason my easiest big benches have been on that thing, even though it feels so amazingly awkward. But then again, I have to lift the weight off the catches and hand it to you.. Quit being short and they're not bad.

I'll just ignore the misread and be excited about this part. And one of these days I'll hit 225.
As a sidenote, how come Amazons always have huge boobs? According to what I've read, they would sear their breasts as a child so that they wouldn't grow because otherwise they'd get in the way when you were trying to fire a bow while riding a horse. I'm just staying true to the original. Except I hate horses.
I hate the benches at Vessels. One's too tall, but I can kind of reach the bar, and the other is almost low enough, but I can't even begin to reach the bar. Plus, I accidentally used the SMR bar on Tuesday.
