Well, like pretty much anything in this world, the IFBB is first and foremost a business. As the owner of a business, you want it to be represented by people that will give it a good name. Some people feel that Kai gives bodybuilding a bad name (again, not me), so there is speculation that the powers that be in the IFBB will never let Kai win the Olympia.

Kai definitely has an olympia winning physique but lets be honest regardless of politics in the sport he has never brought his best package to an olympia stage.
One can only judge or begin to think about politics when Kai comes in at 100% and gets 3rd or 4th at the olympia. No doubt he is a top two bodybuilder when he brings his conditioning in, this is why this Olympia coming could be epic.U mirin' Indian Genetics?

Spot on mate. Not taking Jay of the cards or anything but surely Kai is the biggest threat to Phil this year, with Jay trying a slightly different approach this year I doubt he will come in as a mass monster like in 09 rather come in slightly smaller size wise but peeled although imo not going to beat Phil this way.
With Victor Martinez having his own problems, Wolf past his peak (07 imo), Branch maybe committed as ever but I just don't see anything other than 4th-5th for him.
There is only Kai who will battle Phil for this olympia coming.
I hope we can see something special from Evan at the Arnold, could just spice things up at the Olympia.
All in all its still early to make such calls but just the way I see it happening.U mirin' Indian Genetics?

Kai's physique isn't my fave but I think it's possible he could actually be a great Mr O in terms of raisng bodybuilding's profile somewhat. It would depend on how he went about handling himself in relation to media attention but he strikes me as potentially having the kind of personality that could interest a wider audience than you might expect. I can imagine him in mainstream feature pieces in a way I can't quite see some of the other guys (and that's no disrespect to them).

The fact that kai woll not be mr olympia has nothing to do with his past, specifically the gay ****. If that were to have any effect on his career, he would have never won the arnold, NYP, or any pro shows for that matter.
It kinda pisses me off, but he's very eccentric obviously, and the IFBB doesn't want somebody like that as a representative for the sport. That's why they've had guys like Lee Haney and Jay in the past, because they're well spoken and bring about a positive image. My log brah come at me:

It's actually plausible if you think about it.
The reigning champ needs to represent the sport in a way, like others have said, that will bring profit to the industry. If you have a stain in your past the only way it could be overlooked is if you bring something groundbreaking to the stage, something that judges can't deny. Something that overshadows what people would think about you if your past gets found out. The darker it is the better you need to look to top it.
So basically Kai needs to not just beat Phil (both being each others greatest threat), but he needs to utterly destroy the whole stage.
Vic is the best example that you don't just get the sandow and the prestige of being the greatest at the sport just by being the best man on stage if you have a questionable past. You can't deny Vic, but his past coupled with the fact that while being overall the best on stage he didn't dominate completey proves how easily an athlete can get shafted because of his past when it comes to the greatest competition in professional bodybuilding.
We still need to see Kais best at the o before we make assumptions, but that's still how i see it. I doubt it's as easy as some people make it out to be.
Also i'm a huge Kai fan so please don't shoot me lol.lófasz
