I just got the Guide to Perfumes by Luca Turin from the library..it's alphabetical but here is the page on perfumes that are named Vetiver.

I was actually surprised at how low he rated most of the creeds. Lots of 1-2 star fragrances that are generally well liked. Not sure if he was trying to make a point, but seems like his ratings had a bit of a bias.

Noir de Noir was awful (two sprays on a tester card) at first, but the next morning when I got into the car and smelt it the dry down was hnnnnnggg.

Dat dry down is where it's at with NDN. The opening is 100% grandma.

As far as Acqua di Parma Colonia Essenza, I have a sample of this and personally find this slightly old manish. It's nice and has Neroli but it's very soapy and musky when it starts to dry down. It's also nothing like Neroli Portifino. I much prefer Colonia Intensa from that line. My personal recommendation for a Neroli frag would be Creed Neroli Sauvage.....smells like GIT with Neroli added and that hnnng abergris drydown.

Also for Canadian bros, I spoke with the Dior rep at the Bay and she said Dior Homme Eau should be arriving in early May. She had no idea about Fahrenheit Parfume though.

Never tried it. Extremely hard to find. Canada doesn't have any retail stores that sell DHI (and the discount perfume shops just got it about 3 months ago), so there is no new old stock to find.

I'm trying to grab whatever "popular" vintages that I can find locally. I've already started to sell a couple when I get a good offer. I've also begun buying some for the sole purpose of selling. Unfortunately, there is a lady who knows all the same perfume shop owners that I do, and she's been around for many years. Apparently, RE: Gucc1 ENVY...right [before] it was discontinued..she grabbed all the 50mL...25 bottles for $45 each.

Just got this one today: Vintage Opium EDT - This bottle is approx. almost 30 years old. Probably the darkest juice that I own along with A.A. Was afraid it might have gone bad, but it's fantastic.

Whats the life span of fragrances? 30 years is insane!! older than me ffs...I have ~1ml of D&G the one from 2 years ago that smells like ****...completely gone bad (poor ingredients im guessing)
