Hey Fatman, I ordered some more Aventus from your site. That stuff is gorgeous.
Prolly grab some Amouage Reflection next time after reading your review of it.

Does anyone have that picture saved with someone's HUGE collection??? I remember it had a bunch of Tom Ford fragrances and top notch stuff on a shelf with cool lighting. I've seen it in this thread before but I don't feel like scanning 266 pages :/
Will measly rep, thanks!:: Misc Cologne Crew ::

chick i was just with explained it to me like this since she actually understands my cologne obsession/collection
what cologne is to you is what shoes are to me:
-can't have too many.
-have one for every occasion
-each one has its purpose
-some are just cheap whatever kind you just wear
-others you save for special occasions
-never weatr the same 2 days in a row
there was another but ive been drinking so fcuk you[Official] San Diego Brah

im just listing the points she told me.
its never bad to wear one cologne often. some people are peculiar to a specific scent and others like the variety.
I used to wear chanel allure sport everyday since it was my only cologne i had and that ended up being my signature scent. but i wanted to switch it up eventually and bought random ones i thought smelled good and liked having a rotation of colognes.
if i have more success with one cologne than another then i usually tend to wear it out more often. ex: l'homme and D&G light blue. most heard comments on these 2 so i tend to wear these more often but i do switch in the other 8 or so colognes i have.[Official] San Diego Brah

Fairly decent comparison although I'll say colognes are considerably cheaper (especially high end cologne vs high end shoes) and they take up much less space
I do both, there are times I will wear something different everyday (or even multiple colognes in the same day) and other times where I've just rediscovered something in my collection I haven't worn in a long time or if I'm in a certain mood, I'll wear the same thing over and over again for days on end
The one distinction I'll make is that if I'm going to be around the same person or group of people I was around say yesterday, I will always wear something different, especially if someone commented on it. If you're just going about the day though, it's okay to wear something imo several days in a rowKeep punishin'

recently revisited la nuit de l'homme. I remember it smelling sweet, but wow, this thing made my teeth hurt - lol waaaay too sweet and feminine. though, I can still see how it is such a good seller with the younger crowds. kenzo "power" smells more masculine to me, and that I considered a borderline chick scent.
in other news..picked up a bottle of l'Artisan Fou d'Absinthe. this will be an absolute killer on cooler, rainy days. lush.

What are good fragrances with berry notes that have strong longevity and great sillage?
I have Black XS and I love it, but the projection sucks. Need something similar.

Got a few compliments when we went out and I was wearing Light Blue in Vegas a couple weeks ago. It doesnt project as much as Eau Fraiche on my skin so it was great for the clubs at night.
Light Blue, Eau Fraiche, or Bvlgari aqva marine would be my top choices. Any of your aquatic/citrus scents will do well.-BMBC underground-

Aventus isn't anywhere near a gourmand..
Never heard of one, maybe some all-seasoners (L'Instant de Guelain Extreme comes to mind) would work as summer gourmands, but they're typically too heavy and will get cloying in hot weather. But a chocolate note will never exist in a summer fragrance.
I'd add Allure Homme Sport to that list.
He Wood Rocky Mountain Wood by Dsquared. Smelling it makes me want to be outdoors. Also try Encre Noire - a masterpiece and it would wear VERY well for a guy your age.Last edited by mskillaz; 06-21-2011 at 04:16 PM.

for some reason only thing i can think of is diesel - fuel for life. has that raspberry notes
When i went i brought D&G light blue and l'homme. walking the strip n stuff got a few random compliments from drunk bishes but inside the casino lets be real your clothes are going to reek of cigarette smoke by the time you get to the elevator. you have to be in a really really close setting to smell any cologne.
so i went a lil overboard on the sprays.[Official] San Diego Brah

Fatman do you have any reflection split left? If so what kinda prices are we looking at? Those notes look appealing to me.
What type of scent would you classify it as?Fitness Journal:

It's very hard to describe, its sort of a mix of citrus and spice but very airy. It's a really great fragrance. cologne prices.

i took part in the reflection man split with thefatman.
to me, i find that it somewhat resembles Le Male for the first 20 minutes or so, but the dry down is what separates these two. the dry down for reflection man is more classier and not as loud and "attention whore-ish"
the sweetness of Le Male also tends to linger much more longer than reflection manDo u even compound lift?
