99.99% of what has been brought up in court is completely irrelevant to the case. They need cohen to corroborate that trump knowingly helped coordinate these payments and that trump at least thought that they were illegal. Nobody has corroborated either. Cohen tried to say he did it during a phone call to secret service, but was caught in a lie in the stand.

It’s fairly nuts how far Trumpers are willing to bend over and change any and all rules and logic to suit Trump in any given moment.
BRB “I surround myself with criminals and scumbags as a normal practice, guess I’m immune from prosecution now!”
It’s - literally - the only job of the jury to decide the validity of the testimony and evidence. If it wasn’t in dispute the jury would have no job.

Just ****ing LOL at seeing a "lawyer" saying he "has to be guilty of something!" just like a screeching liberal women. What is he guilty of if there is still no actual accusation of a crime? I know those tweets really hurt your feels but that's not being a criminal. In the real America everybody is innocent until proven guilty. Glad you libtards are showing you want to destroy that idea.
What are the odds that a thread about Trump has big mad Philtard beating his fists on his desk and crying in it? About 100%.
Using facts instead of feels name what Trump is guilty of? Imagine being 68 IQ like Phil and making solid assumptions with zero proof. Not a p3do cult.

What I don't get is that the defense has rested, but the jury has been sent home for a week until closing arguments.
So no court stuff for an entire week, but lots of tv for them to watch etc before closing arguments and deliberations.
This seems like a fked up way to run things.Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!

Fkn lol at this moronic 'lawyer'. So now this idiot is implying if there are criminals in your vicinity, you're automatically a criminal. Guilty until proven innocent!
Wizard'd. These fascist lefties did the same thing with Kavanaugh. They still call him a rapist. Lefties want the 'guilty until proven innocent' standard for their political opponents; an absolutely fascist tactic. It's all projection with them. They love to call righties 'fascists' but with everything else, they're just projecting.Sweet dreams, Bunny crew - https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=166681061&highlight=sweet+dreams+bunny

The fact that you lie about my words reflexively tells me so much about you. And yes, despite NY’s low conviction rate I don’t believe they would bring this case without a solid chance of winning. Now, I know you either have a hard time reading or you deliberately misconstrue my words to defend Trump, but that doesn’t mean I’m saying they will certainly win - just they wouldn’t bring it without a solid path to a conviction. I’ve gone out of my way to say I’m not predicting the outcome on multiple occasions and in my first post on this topic.
Doesn’t stop you from lying though, I guess I see why you like Trump so much.

LOL you're so obsessed with dRumphhhh. I've not mentioned his name or defended him anywhere but here you are bringing up orange man. I've not defended anyone; I've just been calling out your bull**** on prosecutors only bringing 'slam dunk, solid, solid cases' and calling out your standards of 'guilty until proven innocent'. And you're a lawyer? Your comprehension of written words is awful lol. You're seeing 'dRumpmpphh' when there is no 'drummphhh'.
'Solid chance of winning'
'not predicting the outcome'

In light of recent events, would you care to offer a new opinion on this?
One that perhaps concedes this entire thing may have been more politically motivated and less of a 'solid' case with a 'good chance of winning' that you previously attributed to the normal case brought forward? All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

I don't talk about 'dRummphhh'. You're seeing the orange man where there is no orange man again. I DO talk about you lefties and your fascist tactics like 'guilty until proven innocent' and how a prosecutor couldn't possibly by motivated by politics because they only bring 'slam dunk, solid, solid' cases.Sweet dreams, Bunny crew - https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=166681061&highlight=sweet+dreams+bunny

Honestly, I haven’t been following the blow-by-blow. Knowing a number of DAs I don’t believe they would bring a case like this that’s just theatre. I’ve also said we don’t know what’s going to happen. From the criminal cases I’ve been a part of (working for three judges you were former DAs) trying to read the tea leaves mid trial is … unpredictable at best. For all we know the jurors have already made up their minds one way or another and none of this matters at all.
Really my point has been, from the start, we need to take a step back and let the process unfold. And on a personal note it bothers me that whenever something comes up politically where Trump is involved everyone seems to instantly become an expert. There are about four things in the world I’d consider myself an expert on. China, law (though not criminal per se), cooking, and trad archery/hunting. When Trump went after China, suddenly everyone was an expert. When Covid hit suddenly everyone talk like they had a PHD in virology. Court cases involving Trump, suddenly everyone is a lawyers.
It’s tiresome and really an indication of how much society right now operates on feels. “I want something to be true, so it is.”
Look at Salty here - I never said “slam dunk.” I would never say that. No trial is. Nobody believes OJ was innocent, yet we all know happened there. But that’s what he desperately wants me to have said because that is stupid.

You don’t have to be an expert to see egregious issues with court cases, double standards, novel legal theories being taped together which wouldn’t stand up to a gentle breeze, all contingent on the word of a known perjurer who hates the guy and his political opposition has him by the nuts due to the fact that he is out on house arrest and could be thrown back in jail if he doesn’t go along with it.
I agree, sometimes intricacies are best left to the experts. That is so far from where we are, however.
We’re literally arguing a campaign finance violation in which no campaign finances were used and which the FEC and former sdny AG refused to touch.
It would be like you walking down the road and seeing a police officer beating the **** out of someone who is posing no threat. Your response- “well, we don’t really know the details and we aren’t experts. We should just let it unfold. After all, if the cop is wrong, surely they’ll be punished. Who cares if the person being beaten is injured or killed in the process. No biggy, just trust the system and don’t think for yourself.”

The jury will decide contested facts. That’s the way it works. I also don’t believe our criminal system gets it right all the time, not by a long shot (that’s why I don’t believe in the death sentence). However there seem to be a very strong sentiment here that it just -has- to be bogus … because Trump. He’s been doing this since political day one and certain people eat it up. Remember when a big portion of this board thought Hillary was already dead or on death’s literal door? How did that work out?

I'll answer that.
I think when compared to the average person in Washington he's probably pretty damn clean. I also think he's less compromised than many of them in his personal life -- which, before your head explodes, that says more of my opinion of people like Lindsay Graham, Clintons, Bushes and such, than it's me saying Trump is a stalwart noble human being of impeccable morality. I think he's a self-absorbed narcissist and overly used to people, especially women, around him acquiescing to him... but beyond that, not a Eyes Wide Shut paganistic freak, a degenerate Lindsay Graham ladybug type or buds with the cartels like the Romney family -- which I'm confident most of our elected leaders are to varying degrees.
Criminally, I think he's someone who takes advantage of any law and is very sheistery. I wouldn't be surprised if he violated many laws, although probably just ones that should carry fines associated with them. And again -- I also think this makes him head and shoulders above the low level of scumbag that represents us, both parties, which again, not that he's so great, but that I consider them so low.
So for me, seeing him scrutinized so greatly while dirtbag politicians literally instruct their employees to smash evidence with hammers, instruct the FBI to spy on political enemies, brazenly commit the same crimes they can't pin on Trump and are let off with nothing -- it really does make me think that for some reason he's a target. Not necessarily b/c I'm a dumb Trumper who thinks Trump is the God King Emperor to save the Country, I just think because he's not entirely under their thumb, someone who is a 'wild card' and they want business as usual, but I don't know. All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

I don’t completely agree with this take, but I respect an honest answer. I personally think he wakes up every morning tryin got get any with cons and schemes and lies and literally can’t care about anyone around him (save maybe a couple family members). I wouldn’t say that about anyone else that’s been in power - not to that degree. Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden - I think they do actually care about Americans. I firmly believe Trump is incapable of viewing people as anything other than something to exploit.
Having said that, we are the third most populous country in the world. Can’t we do better? Can’t we demand something more from our leaders? I’m perfectly capable of saying Biden is way too old and Harris seems like a monster. None of that matters though when the Trump crowd will defended anything and everything he does and wants to make special rules for him at every turn.
