Happened to glance at my Binance account the other day. My eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw ADA at 1.28, been holding 8k of them for a long time, bought them cheap and then forgot about them. Sold them off... also pleasantly surprised at my BAT. Wire transfer to my TD Ameritrade account, $16k, thank you very much. Peace out crypto. Well I still have a shatload of XRP I bought at .26, waiting for another moon before I sell them.

Use to hold a very low opinion of Arthur Hayes but I have to admit, the dude is smart.
TL;DR -
1. Central banks are losing their ability to control inflation, they can no longer straddle the middle.
2. They either allow their currencies to hyperinflate through low rates + QE, or they go for a hard reset and raise interest rates.
2. Central banks can keep rates low with QE resulting in higher asset prices, however, history suggests hyperinflation either leads to a regime change (through war or revolution) as normies work their asses off only to get poorer. Central banks would rather bite the bullet and raise interest rates but keep their heads on their shoulders.
3. Crypto is best positioned to hedge against hyperinflation and going long interest rate vol is the best hedge against rising interest rates. Adopt barbell strategy where you hold both extremes.

What does today bring? I know most here think we aren't going below 40 before the best run up but I am not that sure. Think we at least test that low 40s area at least one more time.
I am in a wired place as I want more BTC bit find it hard to pay these prices when my average in is under 10k. However, will be kicking myself for not buying at <50 if we end up heading towards 100.
Like most people's portfolio (including mine), would be better with more BTC.

The stock market is looking like it's wanting to take another pounding today. Likely does not bode well with BTC. I can't be assed to move my funds out of staking but probably not the worst idea to take out 50-100% and wait for a lower dip. Not that I'll follow my own advice ofc. Unfortunately it does seem like crypto will be tied to the stock market and/or possibly the USD the same way alts are tied to BTC.
Also I am liking the passive staking, pulling in hundreds worth of coins a day without any stress of a coin falling out of a trading channel and getting fked daytrading. Obviously if I sold at 50.8k BTC a while ago and bought the bottom of the dip I would've made much more, but if we could time the market well we'd all be billionaires. I think I will introduce additional fiat in the future to boost up a trading account while leaving my initial stack staking for a bit but I'll ride the staking gravy train while it lasts. Hopefully this isn't the "normie spot" where the bubble on defi/high yield farming bursts signified by me just learning about it.
Might also try to get in on these IFOs in the future, looks like Yieldwatch was going for $0.10 and come out at $3.5 something---now like $1.40 but 14x isn't bad. Unfortunately it was like 77k% overbought by whales so you'd have to put in a few thousand just to get a handful distributed to you. Looks like pcs is working on a way to minimize the whale dilution there, maybe they could use CAKE like Binance shoehorns BNB into everything. But I am not opposed to yolo'ing in 5k to make 50k like the ICO daysLast edited by Autumnal; 03-05-2021 at 07:15 AM.

Yup I took some profits a few days ago and I staked the remainder on a couple tokens.
Love seeing those token counts go up daily. I'm probably going to be less involved for the next few weeks with swing trading and just let that sit. The market probably needs to shake out some more peeps before we go to the next level.

I was looking at the pancakeswap twitter a few days ago to get more information about the site and it was mentioned as upcoming news, then looked at that website and saw there is an IFO tab and looked at it. You can find the metrics of how much was purchased and the buy-in price on there. I haven't really researched yet how other coins besides WATCH did to identify any real trend.
I saw the goose pump, no idea what that was. The APY is nuts. I had a bag in Viking Swap for a while then talked myself out of it and saw it went down -50% jfl. Figured goose would do the same soon.
Looking at at least some numbers go up is how I coped from 20k to 3k. Haha everything's plummeting but at least I got more satoshis right. You can also copemax by telling yourself "oh man I sold 10% early but at least I have some more fiat/sats/chitcoin/whatever." With crypto volatility if you have some patience you will be rewarded eventually.Last edited by Autumnal; 03-05-2021 at 07:43 AM.

Regarding NFTs... I'm long NFT platforms, but the buying of NFT jpegs, I would be wary if you come across a group about flipping NFT jpegs.
(In case you've seen my previous posts: I've debated Entropy ITT about NFTs being in a bubble, I assumed he was talking about the platform's valuation and not the art selling. I actually don't pay attention to the Art selling going on, I'm far more interested in the NFT platform's long term value.)
Edit: I forgot to say: Crypto Twitter is a gold mine IME. Srs. You just have to learn to recognize when influencers are pumping and dumping, and when they are shilling a project that actually has long term potential.
A lot of people suspect - as do I - that some influencers coordinate together to pump and dump. Sometimes if a project is good and you see a bunch of big influencers shilling it simultaneously on multiple platforms you just need to wait a few days for it crash and go sideways, then you can buy. I had to learn that the hard way.Last edited by BetaAsPhuck; 03-05-2021 at 09:05 AM.

Found out about Goose adding layered farming
Layered farming has been performing really well! We are not at 37million TVL for this layer in 3 hours. Don't worry if you missed this layer! Next layer coming up in 7 days!

At least you've got decent enough capital to make gainz. I was born to a lower-middle class tradie father. And he hits me up multiple times a week about random schitcoins people are shilling on youtube. I wouldn't mind if he was actually working with real money but dude has like $5,000 in crypto. The latest one was EWT. It takes everything in me not to just snap and say "go park your money 50-50 in DOT/GRT and fuk off."

Oh it's very much a ponzi scheme. But how much money can we make from it? No but I'm not touching something with that high yield. There's a lot more money in there than I can compete with and a lot of people going to want to sell large bags at various points.
I do wonder if I am going to get rug pulled on autofarm but yolo I suppose. If more meerkats happen soon I'm probably out. At least they're audited and it's gone on longer than a day.

In all honesty he made a nice chunk of change from crypto already. He bought poverty amounts of Ethereum when it first became available on paypal back when eth was like $580. So he tripled his initial investment.
It's just annoying as fuk cause he has no idea what he's doing and just 3 months ago he ONLY would use paypal "because it felt safe", now he's asking me about schit you have to vpn into chinese exchanges just to trade. He goes "ETH is my long term play and DOT is my moon shot. GRT is just for diversification". WRONG motherfuker. Sell ETH, DOT should be your long term play and GRT is your moon shot. Just ignorant as fuk to the space and it's annoying handholding someone whose entire portfolio is like a third of just my CRO stake for my debit card.DCA'ing FXS since Sept2022

Looks like Layer 2 solutions are going to be the only real solution that ETH devs and the Ethereum Foundation have to lower fees in the near future. So they will likely back them full force.Last edited by BetaAsPhuck; 03-05-2021 at 11:10 AM.
