They cut the 2019 5th round pick before the season even started, so if you get one sack/fumble out of the 7th(6th) it worked out?

Unless he does something stupid like get suspended for the rest of the year, I believe this will be well worth the 7th. He is a total dickbag, but at least he plays with intensity and fire. Quinn is playing great, but it took Lawrence 7 weeks to show up. Those 3 on the line should be really solid (I hope)

I know the eye test may have not shown much but Tank was winning his rep, just literally no one else on the line was doing ****. The jets game he got whipped though(even when singled), when you really needed him.

Another thing to consider, Bennett's snap count was drastically cut in NE after week 1. I think he played 37 week 1, but in total he played 130 snaps until suspension? I think I saw that number somewhere. Figure the defense probably plays 40-50 snaps a game, so that's 2.5 sacks in 3ish games (based on snap counts)

Jets traded Leonard Williams to the Giants for a 3rd and a 5th I think. Not too steep. I'm guessing Dallas chose Bennett instead due to the cost. Bennett is under contract through 2020, while Williams is up for a new contract after this year.

Hear Dallas may be shopping for a DB still.... just give 1st for Jamal Adams already damnit.

There is absolutely no reason NOT to make the trade as long as the price is reasonable, and the Jets are actually shopping him.

- 2nd year of rookie deal
- impact player
- giving up a 1st is no big deal because he's proven to be 1st round talent (unlike unknowns coming out of college)
- bargain in the secondary for a few more years.
