Numerous laughs were had reading the posts since I left for the gym haha.
Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

if you mean my abs look good, that's a layer of fat on my belly, but thank you very much, lol. if you mean i will look good with abs, i just want a flat tummy, really. (:
i saw - you posted pics in the big transformation thread. i know you're trying to get to 50 posts but people don't like it when you post a bunch of messages at once to reach that number. you can try to delete several of your messages but i think it might be too late for that. i see your reputation is already "red" or negative.
(this all assumes you're the guy in the pics. if you're not that guy, this post never happened.)start where you are

Does anyone else besides me think that athletes, sooner or later, become masochists?
I hurt, but I keep going.Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;
Steal from the world, and not a stone
Tell where I lie.

Today is one of those days where my body is screaming for lots of food. (I will resist)

Dude, I still keep going, even when I have nothing to give. It becomes a mundane, useless activity. I'm not sure what's going on psychologically.
Wasn't talking of Crossfit.
Also, don't knock something you haven't tried. I've been to many competitions and some of the tricks those guys can do is mindblowing.Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;

I agree. I've been doing it for a little over a year now. Been lifting for a little over two years. It's definately supplemental to a proper lifting routine. Our gym has a certified olympic lifter who gives newbies a month-long proper lifting training before they're allowed to launch into the programme.
Personal preference. Being able to do handstand walks is amazing. Climbing ropes as an adult is super fun. Being able to propel yourself onto high platforms repeatedly is attractive. Again, supplemental to weightlifting. If done correctly, it minimizes your risk for injury down to what it would be if you're training on your own.
But I'm not advocating for anything. I just think people should do what they enjoy. If that's kicking people's faces in Muay Thai, climbing rocks, swimming, so be it.

LOL exhaustion. I know my body. I's ready for a break. This in combination of work and other stresses of life at just put me over. I've only had 3 days off this year. I usually do 2-3 weeks vacation a year. Just so busy.
Are you sure? Because I learned that's the only way to be fit.
I think people think looking fit = being fit

Yeah anmex I dont agree with what you said , so I was trying to meet you halfways.
If youre jacked your fit. If youre healthy, well then say your healthy. Don't say youre fit.I used to have an AVI of my traps and neck. I changed it a while back and tried editing my user title but this website is glitched and it will not let me change it anymore.

You have an unbelievably loose definition of "fit" then, as most of this site does, hence my original statement. There are lots of people who can look like they're in good shape but have disastrous cardio, can only lift average weight, and have no athletic abilities whatsoever.
