Hey guys. So my lifting partner noticed that I was wayyy off on my flies. My left arm goes much lower and quicker than my right. I have dropped the weight to focus on form. I have noticed that my shoulders look off. Is this anymore than just shoring up my form or do you notice something else? All advice is appreciated. Thanks!

lmao.. been in a deficit for the past 4-5 days. Still hit a pr today.. 105's for 4. (got 2 last week)
I'm peppering my angus for the strength loss eventually though
Don't want to scare anyone.. but if you insist...
fatties gonna fat.
500-600kcal deficit.
Nah. Not really. Lift 6-7 days a week, 15 minutes HIIT 4x a week.
Sedentary outside of the gym.

when i pulled 445 nd 465 my routine was full body but the progression was more instinctual.
Considering I'm in a cut, progress has been good. Hitting PRs, although just not frequently. Will be finishing cut within 4-6 weeks though.
Currently i'm 3 weeks into the Texas Method, but using 531 for progression on deads. Looks like this:
sat: volume
5x5 squat 80-90% of 5rm wednesday
5x5 bench 80-90% of 5rm wednesday
deadlift 2-3 x 5,3,or 1 80-90% of wednesday
mon: full body recover
light bench and squat work
no dead assistance work unless rows count lol
wed: intensity
5rm bench
5rm squat
531 deads
thurs: back and arms fluff
nothing tough here, just machine rowing, curls, rear delt work etc
Progress on bench on squat on TM has been great so far. Still to early to say anything for deads but just curious how i should approach a progression scheme for it. I dont feel like adding 5lbs a week to it is very sustainable for 5 reps lol
need to see more than one rep lol. I prefer cable flies thoig: @monkaycrak

I went from 194-192 first week (was sad about small loss) down to 189 back up to 191.6 today. I suppose I should trust the math, 4000-4100 cals a day down to ~2700 cals/day will produce SOME kind of noticeable consistent weight loss soon. Doing a large deficit cause I've gotten so fat, will scale it back once I can see my abs again. Hopefully I'm just stocked full of poop. Maybe domicron can go spelunking and find out for me since he seems to be the poop master
Thinking I'm gonna go scale shopping soon, don't trust this one. Bought digital cause I thought it would be more accurate now I'm reconsidering.
Lifts seem okay after 1.5 weeks, got bad tennis elbow on my left arm after last day's push day. 5 days rest the way my work schedule is between then and my next push day, hopefully will resolve by then. If not maybe I'll skip triceps and just do some very strict shoulder&chest flies/other things that don't really cause any force on a bent elbow.

Try doing 5 sets of triples of 80 - 85% of your max one day a week and (not sure where you place squats) pick a weight that's reasonable for sets of 5 and either do 3 - 4 sets of deficits or rack pulls. (two+ days after deadlifts)
I wouldn't test your max again for at least 8 weeks (add 5 lbs or so a week to deads).Sheiko? My journey to 1,500+ @ 165

Thx! Current routine is in post #653, but just started with Texas Method, squatting and deads on same day.
To clarify your saying:
day 1: deadlift 5 sets of triples 80-85% of max
day 2: 3-4 sets of defecits or racks for sets of 5
That's actually really close to what I'm doing so I can definitely work that in. I tend to respond better with volume and frequency on deadsig: @monkaycrak

Yuppers. And by day 2 I mean if you're doing deads on monday, maybe do deficits/racks on friday but do those more by feel and worry about progressing on day 1.
I responded well to one main DL day + accessories later in the week but your mileage may vary.
I hated 5/3/1 but that's just my opinion, it was nice to boost the ego with high rep PR's but other than that I got nothing from it. Sheiko is my bread and butter when I get serious about powerlifting.Sheiko? My journey to 1,500+ @ 165

I thought the general consensus was that TNG is good, original is just okay and DS9 is terrible.
