Can confirm, this one works so good for me at the beach, it's the first scent I think of. I also associate Bal D with sunny weather so that gets some play too.

Heard lots of great things about Creed MI for that scenario but I don't want to test it, only to love the smell but be disappointed with the performance. I don't spray alot or walk around with decants so I need my chit to last.

Used to be Bvlgari Blv, but now I would rate Armani Stronger with You. Because I wore it in the presence of a girl at the university library whilst talking to her, and after I walked away I heard her say to herself "ohh....that smells good!"


The thing with frags is they strongly imprint themselves into memory because of how olfaction and memory relate. So whenever she smells the scent she will naturally think of The Bodhster. 4D chessing my way to the pooce, son.

Bro this ain't right. I remember seeing reviews by dorks like Robes08 and that one guy who looks like count Dracula and they spraying these powerful scents 10+ times. Absolute madness, fragcels have the most busted noses.

Anyway I just blind ordered Erba Magica and Percival. Will review when they come by coconut express.

Also got backups of Virgin Island Water and Fluidity Silver. These are two juices that I totally vibe with and fit me like a glove. Will never go without them.

I can see why. Clones should be of really good, expensive fragrances. Which is not always the case. Too many clones are stuff from Mancera, YSL etc where you can get bottles for less than $100 so what is the point of a clone. Tygar is a beautiful scent that’s never on discount and over $300.

Lots of clones like Dua or Parfums Vintage cost just as much or more per ml than the niche they clone. Many people just buy them still because they have smaller sized bottles so people pay less. I can see the appeal but i eventually realised I could tell most clones apart from the originals and that didn't sit well with me. To each his own tho, clones fill the gaps for many people.

I find myself getting away from some clones in favor of the OG.

For example, the new F batches of Aventus last well at least the one I have. So a CDN is not on the same level anymore and it was better than the Blackrock batches with the plastic cap. So maybe Gucci did them right.

Pretty average. The Alexandria clone (Dark Knight) is harsher, but projects better and lasts longer. Cheaper, too. Depends on if you want to impress others, or yourself. There's a certain satisfaction that comes from knowing you're wearing the real thing. That said, Black Phantom is a pretty unique fragrance, nothing else quite like it. Worth the investment, IMO.

Got 3 bottles of the clone (Dark Knight) and 2 of Black Phantom, I don't notice any difference in performance or projection. Phantom goes richer and deeper in the dry down though while the clone sotra just keeps the sharper piercing top notes. Maybe it could give the impression of better projection but I don't get that personally. I also never use more than 2 sprays of either because the performance is top notch for me. I have very few frags that perform better.

As much as I love The One EDP the projection / sillage / performance is weak, it's really a close contact fragrance based on my experience. Unless you have the help of a breeze, or something, it's not going to get noticed and I can barely smell it myself unless I put my nose close to the spray area or I'm opening a door.

Looked at reviews for Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee and YSL La Nuit, great scents, projection is bad, sillage nothing to write home about.

Dior Homme Parfum seems to have great ratings for performance, projection, sillage...of course, can't find it lol. Sold out everywhere. Same with The One Luminous Night.

Yes it's a very sweet gourmand that I would wear in the fall/winter/evening. Both bottles are vintage before the re-release so I'm not sure if it has changed. It has a strong maple syrup note and coffee. Basically breakfast in a bottle. It has great longevity, but I feel it can get cloying at times and it's not a very versatile scent IMO.

That doesn’t sound like my type of scent then. I like coffee scent although not overly sweet ones. I prefer to eat maple syrup, not smell of it.
