As for games, well Sony is starting to release games on the PC.
Only downside is you need about $5000, but you should be good for 5 years or so.

What do you mean for argument's sake? Do you think I don't believe in what I say and just want to fight with you? You're not that important man, I said things I believe.
To address your points:
1. Yes games get patches but modern console ports are generally more stable and have less issues than PC ones. Yes I wait for patches on console but that generally takes my game from running decent to running great. On PC that generally goes from running horribly to running decently. There's a difference. Devs simply care more about console ports as that's where the bulk of their sales go to.
2. I never said fine tuning games is a wholly bad thing. Not everyone has the time and interest to spend hours tweaking, applying mods, monitoring FPS and CPU temps to get it just right. It can be a complicated balancing act that might get even worse when there's an update that breaks your settings or mods. Many adults have a busy schedule and while freedom to tinker with settings can be a good thing, it also comes at a cost.
3. Here's the difference between us. I have the objectivity to admit that PC has some pros and cons, while consoles also have pros and cons. You're showing your infinitesimal pool of brain matter and personal bias in saying consoles have NO benefits. Do you expect anyone to take you seriously if you can't even cede some level of credibility to the millions of people who prefer consoles?Last edited by Coal Man; 11-10-2023 at 03:07 PM.

A. OP said everything is on Xbox
B. Laptop is a type of PC
C. Laptops have their advantages and I don't fault people for using them. I just prefer doing that stuff on a large monitor with a mouse instead of a trackpad. Also if you do anything intensive on a laptop you're going to feel the heat if it's on your lap or even just right next to you.See Krackerjacked's sig

That's great about media needs. I own a console for games, I'm not disputing their usefulness. I need more than just games or watching movies though. For image/audio/video editing, web browsing, document editing, modded gaming, and games where I prefer M&K, I need a PC.
And desktops produce heat as well but cooling options are much better. My desktop is under my desk like 3 feet away from me and I never feel it unless I'm an hour in playing an intensive game. When I had a laptop it was always warm, and when I was gaming it was searing hot. That's definitely not a plus for me even in winter. I just like warmth of blankets and such though, I was never one to even stand near vents/heaters.Last edited by BigElephant; 11-12-2023 at 01:46 AM.
