Just got back from GNC to take advantage of the buy 1 protein get another half off plus gold card week discounts and boy am I happy. When I usually go into GNC they hound me but when I tell them I'm alright they will leave me alone, but I do like talking to the dude for a few hours after I purchase my stuff. As I got skinnier and skinnier I found that I got bothered less and less because skinny people don't need muscle or GNC employees making commission. So I go in today expecting to deny some employee's, and I was right. But one guy in particular unleashed hell on me. I got all my stuff and I'm walking to the counter when this GNC employee stops me Elder Scrolls guard style and the conversation pretty much goes like this:

Employee: Can I ask something(doesn't even wait for me to say no), why do you have two different proteins?

I look at this ninja like he's retarded.

I almost refuse to go into one. There have been a couple along my travels that aren't too bad, but by in large your description is very similar to several of my own. Pain in the ass! And the whole gold card thing! Pain in the ass! I use this site for the vast majority of my supplements, which aren't many.

Taste is terrible, mixes terrible, 60g protein from a scoop that is 3 times larger than any other quality protein. 60/3 = 20g from a similar scoop size....so add waaaay overpriced to that list. Sounds like that crafty GNC ninja got u too buddy. Has nothing to do with bb.com ego especially since im sure a majority of people on here shop elsewhere too.

Maybe you should have listened to the guy because all protein is not equal. Do you think all carbs and fats are equal? Sure hope not. I do agree that sometime employees who are selling products do say some things that are a bit strange but that's their job. This is not just GNC emplyees. Actually, employees who are employees at nutrition and supplement stores are fairly intelligent.

Not sure if srs...ofc not all "proteins" are the same... the amino acid profile of 100g of beef is going to be a hell of a lot different than 100g of whey protein. But at the end of the day they all do the same thing. Do u really believe that 1 protein powder will build more muscle than another? In fact, protein powder doesn't even build muscle. You just need a caloric surplus and at least 1g of protein per pound of lean body mass (approximately).

And i actually find that they have some good deal when its buy one get one 50 off, i got 2 ON casien 4lb tubs for 90$ the other day, which is alot cheaper than online if you include shipping in the cost!
