Day 9 - Weight 167
Heading to the gym in a few for Bi's, Tri's Forearms, Abs
Not really sore at all from yesterdays killer leg workout, although it usually takes 2 days for the soreness to kick in for me.

Day 11
Chest + Tri's
The Smith Machine's were full almost my whole workout, which was a little annoying, but this allowed me to really switch u my workout today and incorporate different exercises, which is always good. Really good workout today, really felt a pump flowing through my chest and Tri's for about the first time ever.
Feelings: Noticing vascularity is up, old veins are bigger, new veins popping up, also even though I am somewhat small, my muscles feel very "full" even on rest days. Muscles are tighter, fuller, and just overall feel bigger than they did 1.5 weeks ago. Very noticeable in my hamstrings when I strech, they just feel so much bigger than a few weeks ago, and my uper body as well. Shirts fit different, in the I'm getting bigger way. Overall, very happy so far. I've used creatine alot in my life, and it's not just the creatine working here, it's a much different feeling so far.

yes sometimes when glycogen stores are low the "oversplurging" can actually be beneficial and help fill them up if they are not already full otherwise it goes to fat gain

Day 14 Workout
Killed it in the gym today, I reallllly didn't feel like going, still a lil hungover, my body hates alcohol...but my mind loves it! Took 1 scoop SP Max and 1 scoop Clout Pre to give myself a nice boost.
Smashed through my Best deadlifts, I'm going to use these as my default lifts, as its been about 2 weeks since I deadlifted.
Note, I have to do Smith Machine Deadlifts, and my form is very similar to this ( this is not me in Vid)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLN1lMkOjrA
Notable Lifts
Deadlift - 65x15 (x2) 115x10 165x10...could have pulled more easy, 185x8..coulda pulled more, 195x8, 200x6...felt like I could do more, but called it for the day
Lat pulldowns 110x10x3
Tons of other exercises as well, really exhausted when I left the gym...really good workout IMO today.Last edited by britdevine; 10-31-2011 at 04:52 PM.

Weight 170.6 (+3.6)
Probably my best leg workout yet, Hobbled out of the gym, day off tomorrow for sure.
Notable lifts
Leg Press 180x10, 270x10, 310x9, 320x7 (Added weight and reps here)
Smith Squats 65x12x2 (Warm up) 115x10, 140x7..coulda done more, but form may have lacked, 150x7, again probably could have squeezed out one more, 155x5 ( + 5 Lbs more than last workout)
Absolutely leg dead after todays workout...feeling good overall, legs are really feeling thicker and leaner both at the same time.

Even on a dirty bulk one should keep track of protein intake. Carbs can go nuts, fats should stay as healthy as possible, but keep a tab on protein. Remember that carbs are the fuel and the anabolic trigger(spikes of insulin) but protein is the building blocks.
Keep smashing those weights!May the Lord: make me strong to bear the burden of the weak, make my chest broad to embrace those who need love, give me the courage to face the demons which torment our souls, lift me up when in combat for I am bound to fall, make me Wise so that I shall not be decieved. And May the Lord keep my heart humble so I will always have room to grow.

Day 18
Weight 170.2 ( +3.2)
Chest + Tri's + Light cardio
First time in a long time I have been able to bench without alot of pain in my shoulder/tri area where it connects in my left arm, forgot what its called (Rotator cuff?) but I can never really bench as it always kills. I warmed up for about 15 minutes doing various light weight exercises on chest/Rotator Cuff, and finally was able to bench without much pain.
Notable lifts
Smith Flat Bench - 155x 8, 165x5, 165x5
Smith Incline - 105x8, 115x8, 125x7, 135x5
I'd say these are all much better than what I would have done 15-20 days ago without question, and I will try to use these as a baseline to compare against at the end.
Another great workout today, had a really nice pump going, could barely move my chest/tri's at the end of my workout I was so swole up. Loving this whole stack so far.

Day 19
Weight 170.8 ( +3.8) - Really happy with this so far, after starting slow, I've been maintaining around the +4Lbs for about a week, hopefully this can creep up a little next week.
Couldn't sleep at all last night, so not really feeling in the best of moods, I really need 8-10 hours of sleep a day to feel rested. Off to the gym to do back + bi's and pound out some deadlifts in a little bit.
Workout - Really keep smashing through these workouts, really noticing my body is changing as well, should have some nice results at the end of 2 months here.
Notable lifts
Deadlift - (Did these at the end, due to insane back pumps I had last time, really couldnt do much for 10 mins after I Deadlifted last time.) 105x10, 155x10, 175x8, 195x8, 205x6, 215x3, probably shouldn't have tried for 215x3, as the pumps were just insane and I could hardly move at all.
Lots of pullups with various grips today as well, and lots of other back exercises, weight that felt heavy 1.5 months ago, is just being tossed around now by me.
Note- Will not be able to workout Sunday or Monday, and probably Tuesday as well, although I might be able to do a home workout Tuesday night, I really don't want to take this break, but going on a mini-trip with my girl. My body isn't telling me I "need" the rest, but I'm guessing with 2 or 3 days off, I should come back fully rested and be able to beast in the gym when I get back.Last edited by britdevine; 11-05-2011 at 12:08 PM.

Day 22
Got to the gym for about an hour for Abs + Shoulders
Didn't have alot of time, so didn't write down my workout, but I am looking much thicker now in the shoulder/trap area for sure, I ate like a beast on my mini 2 day vacation with my girl, and not in a healthy way...so I'll see what I weigh in at tommorow morning.
Leg day tommorow, back on the routine.

Don't beat yourself up on taking a break from lifting. As a matter of fact it's essential to progress. Buddy Morris wrote up this great presentation on how essential a deload period is to performance. If your body is screaming for a break...give it a break. Glad you ate very well while you on your break(even if the calories were dirty) this will ensure proper nutrition to ensure maximal recovery. Again as long as you have proper protein intake then 2 dirty days on a bulk is fine. When you start up again you will notice the difference.
May the Lord: make me strong to bear the burden of the weak, make my chest broad to embrace those who need love, give me the courage to face the demons which torment our souls, lift me up when in combat for I am bound to fall, make me Wise so that I shall not be decieved. And May the Lord keep my heart humble so I will always have room to grow.

Day 23
Weight 171.6 ( +4.6) Was expecting this to jump about this much from the dirty eating, now I have to try to keep around the 171-172 IMO this week, to keep on track with gaining.
Leg day, again could barely walk out of the gym, I'm really noticing how much bigger my legs feel compared to a month ago. Legs felt really rested heading into todays workout.
Notable lifts
Smith Squats - 65x15x2, 115x10, 135x10, 155x8, 165x5, 175x3....probably could have pushed out one more rep on the last 2 sets, but they wouldn't have been full squats, I go deep, almost touching the ground with my behind.
Single leg curls - 75x12, 82.5x10, 87.5x9
+ a whole bunch of other stuff, my calves are KILLING me right now, couldn't get on the leg press, it was full the whole time, so I'll have to make sure I hit that up next leg day.
