I normally do 3 and rarely 4 exercises for chest. It seems to grow no matter what I do. I also have been bench pressing/squatting for much longer than I have been incorporating a bodybuilding split so its got a pretty good head start. It was definitely a shorter, less intense workout than usual, but no need to get injured.

    7/8

7 Was an off day----Hard for me to get myself to get those in.

    DAY 8-Legs
-I worked out in my University gym around 5:00 pm so prime time hours. Had to get my workout in between classes. Facilities are amazing, but its always crowded. On a side note its the most distracting atmosphere you could ever work out in from the hours of 4-10pm. The most amazing girls run on treadmills all dressed right above the gym floor.

    -To the Workout
    Smith Machine Front Squat
    -135 X 15
    -185 X 12
    -205 X 10
    -225 X 10

    Lying Leg Curls
    -90 X 12
    -110 X 10
    -130 X 10
    -90 X 15

    Calves...Very Heavy

Leg Extension(Stayed light and hit great slow controlled reps) Front Squats got me good!
    -90 X 12
    -120 X 12
    -130 X 10

    Machine Seated Leg Press
    -290 X 12
    -330 X 12
    -370 X 10

    Workouts are looking great.

I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND the distraction of hotties. I trained a few times at a gym up the road from ASU. Seemed most of the females were nice firm coeds, strippers, or MILFs.

It was impossible for me to get anything done in there. I really tried...several times.

Ya, nearing 10 reps with that weight is damn solid, that a boy!

Your making me jealous though regarding the shoulder press hammer strength machine. I used to go to a gym with that machine and loved it, now I'm at 24 that has a million hammer strength machines for pecs but none for delts

Had a long weekend with friends and family. I got to the gym twice and had pretty decent workouts. Note to self: working out after being by the pool all day is absolutely brutal. Today is a leg day again, and I'm ready to get back to work. I'm also 100% back to my routine with classes, labs and studying most of the day for the rest of the week(gym fits in every day). While its sure boring, I am actually kind of energized after hearing my friends and family complain about having a real full time job.

I never went to college, so this might be waaay off.
But I imagine that its a lot like weight training- what you do today, prepares you for tougher things tomorrow. Eventually- that means getting and keeping a job. I can assure you...that part sucks

    Enjoy school while you can.

Day 14: Got in my bi-weekly cardio session with an hour of pickup basketball. IM Flag football starts next week which will be my other cardio session.
-Shoulders later today. Should be a great one.

My diet is getting back to 100% on and its perfect timing because I seem to be getting leaner while I haven't lost any strength. If my weight goes down too much I may just add a few hundred calories a day. Update later/tm morning

    Day 14

    Shoulders
Great workout. Intensity was good and I felt strong as I have been on DB shoulder press for a while.

    DB Shoulder Press
    -55 X 12
    -65 X 12
-85 X 10(Was my goal for the workout)
    -85 X 8

Seated Lateral Raises( Very Strict Form)
    -15 X 15
    -20 X 12
    -20 X 12
    -20 X 12

Barbell Shrugs(haven't done these heavy in a very long time so was just getting back to the motion. Felt great)
    -155 X 15
    -185 X 15
    -205 X 12
    -225 X 12

    Upright Shoulder Press Machine
    -140 X 12
    -125 X 12
-Machine was putting great emphasis on the front delts. It wasn't quite a hammer strength and I don't think I have ever seen it before.

Pics tonight or tm after my 1st big test of the semester

Yes 2 weeks now: Well I have been noticing that my recovery seems to be a lot quicker than usual. My back seems to be feeling much better, maybe because I have less soreness everywhere else. I also seem to be leaning out a little bit in the last few days, while I have kept my calories roughly the same. I am probably going to bump up the calories about 300-400 for the week and see how that goes.

i cant stand those reverse grip presses, they kill my wrists. Good job on those hammer strength incline presses, thats absolutely one of my fav movements for chest.

cav, you gotta get on stage bro, your shape is just too nuts to not persue competing if that is a goal you have considered.

Thanks, hearing that kind of stuff makes me think that all the hard work is worth it. I have considered, but it would be very difficult at this point in my life. The summer is the only time I could possibly consider it. I'm not the type to compete in a half assed way, so if I ever set a date in mind I would have to be able to be 100% dedicated. Either way, I'll be busting my ass in the gym every single week because of the sick enjoyment we all get.

    17

DAY 17=ARMS+calves Decided to give the legs an extra day of rest and get in an arms workout. My arms were pumped all day after my workout. Intensity was very good. Stamina was better than usual. I usually can't feel much after I get the pump from my first few exercises, but was able to get plenty of work in.

Seated DB Curls(Each Arm) at once
    -30 X 15
    -35 X 12
    -40 X 10

    Rope Pushdowns
    -90 X 12
    -100 X 10
    -100 X 9

    Barbell Curls
    -80 X 10
    -80 X 10
    -80 X 9

    2 arm overhead tri extension
    -65 X 10
    -75 X 10
    -80 X 10

    Preacher Curls(Very Slow negatives)
    -65 X 15
    -65 X 15
    -70 X 12

    Triceps Kickbacks
    -20 X 12
    -20 X 10
    -15 X 15

    Hammer Curls
    -45 X 10 each arm
    -50 X 10

-Finished with a few calf exercises. I like to hit them pretty often. Usually only after 48 or so hours rest.

Great looking arm w/o Cav, that looks similiar to the movements I use. I might switch up here shortly though and try another bp together.

A dedicated arms day works best for me. I like your exercise order- going back and forth bi to tri. Hmmm....I think I'll borrow that idea.

Yea I'm gonna try and keep a dedicated arm day in my routine. I'm kinda weird in that I would rather workout almost any other muscle group than my arms. Maybe its weird that I would rather squat in the squat rack than curl lol. Anyways, I'll give you guys my updates from the last two days later today.
