Last night my wife rams the car into a curb on slick roads. Had an appointment for a state inspection this morning anyway, so I have the repair shop look at the tire she hit. Turns out she really fraked up the wheel. Not only is the expensive alloy wheel completely trashed, both tie rods are bent as well as the rack and pinion assembly.

And we need 4 new tires.

Total out of pocket (after deductible is met) - over $2,000 - not counting the fees for inspection and diagnostics and alignment (which will have to be redone after the repairs anyway) today which were almost $200 alone.


And I'm probably getting laid off at the end of the month and have not been able to land other full time employment.
