    hey guys! thanks minick for the compliment on my back. For some reason my back has always been my strong point. Like you said I guess everyone has something and everyone also has their weak spot, like my legs. I have gotten my shoes. I got them about a month ago so I could start walking around in them and I am going to get my suits picked out and get measured for them Wednesday. I am going to the place I talked about being local because I feel comfortable having them do my measurements. About the cheat meal, I think it is time to cut it out because it is totally screwing my head up. I don't think it is hurting my body too much, but it makes me want to binge. I eat till I feel sick and then I feel guilty. It also seems like my cravings are always a lot worse after a cheat meal than they ever were before especially with sugar. With my history of bulimia and everything my cheat turning into a binge is not good. I feel totally out of control, and when I stick to my diet I am fine. So, I think cheat meals are over for me. I am off to the gym and will post workout later. Have a great day everyone!

    M4 2 scoops protein powder, 12 almonds, 1/2 cup broccoli
    M5 4 oz can chix, a big plate of romaine lettuce, 2 tbs lite olive oil based dressing, 2 little pieces of avocado( I did not really like them)
    M6 1 scoop protein powder, 1 tbs natural pb
    I am trying to cyle my carbs every other day. Today was a low day. I am adding more fats on the low days. I still eat 1/2 cup of oats though right before I work out to get me through my workout.
    This totals up to 1605 cals, 215 grams of protein, 30 grams of carbs(not counting veggies), and 38 grams of fat. I think I went a little too high with the fat!

    Hey jlay.... I completely understand about the cheats.. and wanting to binge... and the bulimia.... Not sure if you know but... I had it also.. It is so hard to get through.. but actually eating for this comp. has in some ways helped... as you know our hubby's..finace's like to eat .. and eat out.. so it is hard to just do that.. but now.. well my fiance knows i have to eat right and at certain times... blah blah.. so kind of like it... as i would before go out to eat.. and just stuff myself to know end! then feel so guilty about it... and want to do something... but I just hope to continue on with this health eating... i mean yeah i might want something like chocolate now.. but maybe i can get to where i can have one piece in the future and not say well you already ate that... might as well eat more!

    Workouts look great... Glad you got your calories up... I am hitting about 1700ish and trying to eat less carbs on days i dont lift... or my rest day also have lowered calories on those days... just trying to cycle carbs and the calories... i guess.

    Oh.. I have asked the other girls this.. but do you eat cottage cheese? if so .. are you cutting it out? or have you already... and do you use any splenda or seasonings.... to either sweeten something or make it taste a little better? just trying to see if i need to stop completely or start cutting soon...

    Today was a high carb day. I don't know how this carb cycling thing will go, but I thought I would give it a try. What I am doing looks similar to what some of the other women have done from their journals and had great results. I am going tomorrow to get my suits picked out and measured. I am so excited.

    Hey jlay... OH i am excited too.. LOL wish i could GO and pick my suits out... you know actually see them!!! Cant wait to hear the news on what you decide.....

    Thanks for the info. on the cottage cheese... I have heard sooo many things about keeping it in.. maybe at breakfast or pre-bed meal.. i mean i might be eating 1/2 each day or no more than 1 cup 1/2... so I think i will see how i am doing when i am at either 4 weeks out and see if i should cut it out... or i just will... think that would give me time to see if it was effecting anything... I mean i use it in my tuna mix... and sometimes have it with yogurt/go-lean/cc mixed all up.. that is a great carb/protein meal there.. but it is sooo darn good!! LOL i will miss it.. but maybe 4 weeks will be ok to cut out...

    Yeah.. on the cardio... It is stressing me to know end.... I was going to see about changing my work hours.. so i can sleep a little later ... get up do it then go to work.. just it might put me in the gym like maybe 30 min. later than we are usually in there.. but only thing is i worry about the traffic... in the morings it is soooo freaking bad... but then i mention it to my fiance.. and he gets all up-set cause he might have to stay at work maybe 15 more min. before he left.. and that just pissed me off... i have to wait over a freaking hour for him to get off work... and during that time i could be doing something.. but dont want to do cardio before weights..so i am pissed at him right now!! LOL might not post this in my journal.. as he might read it... LOL... but i mean it just seems unfair.. and i know he is focused on me right now..making sure i get things done.. my food right and all...but man... lighten up...

    Workouts look great!!!! and your meals look wonderful also...

    So are you doing like a high, med., low day on carbs? and working them around whatever muscle group you are working that day?

    Also.. i have been doing all kinds of cardio... but just the time is my problem... How many cardio sessions are you doing a week? if you dont mind me asking..

    I have not been in here to post in a couple of days. I have been bogged down with work and everyday life issues that seem to pop up. All is well. I did 40 min of cardiio on Wednesday and no lifting. I went and got measured for my suits and picked them out. They are going to be so pretty. I can't wait to get them. I tried one on just for the style and it sure made me realize my butt has got to slim down. Man the bottoms seem so tiny compared to a regular swimsuit. It really motivated me though and I still have time. My butt is always the last place for me to lean out. Yesterday(Thursday) I was only able to get 35 min of cardio in. I am off to the gym to do chest and triceps today. I may just have to catch up on lifting this weekend or only do legs once this week. Yesterday's meals looked like this:
    M1 1/2 cup oats,1 cup eggwhites, 2 tbs flaxseeds, 1/2 grapefruit
    M2 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, 2 scoops protein powder
    M3 8 oz grouper, medium sweet potato, 1/2 cup broccoli, 1 tbs nat pb
    M4 myoplex lite
    M5 1 can tuna, 3/4 cup green beans, 12 almonds, 3 tbs cream of wheat
    I went to bed and completely forgot to have a scoop of protein as my meal 6. I don't know how I forgot. I will post today's meals and workout later.

    Hey jlay..... Hope you had a wonderful weekend.. just stopping in to check on you... Man your meals look great.... I am sure you are finding it hard to know what to eat when.. and blah blah!! LOL but I think or am hoping i have mine pretty much set... I think i will stop the cottage cheese crap at least 2 weeks out... and maybe some spices or something.. anything that might have salt i guess in it.. but who knows!!!

    I am so happy you got your suits... I know that was exciteing to go and try on those.... like your wedding dress almost!! LOL just a LOT less material!!

    So how did you feel in the suit.. did you think it really does not cover up much? LOL I know my fiance knows i have to wear it.. so he is ok with it.. just my dad makes this funny face... like what? it does not even cover up your butt!! LOL silly... but guess he is being dad....

    So are you holding up as far as energy... I think i am doing ok... seems sometimes i dont have it... but just keep pushing....

    well I haven't posted in a while, but things have been going really well-just super busy. My husband and I are in the process of moving into a house and out of our apartment. We bought the house a couple of months ago and totally gutted it. It was built in the 1940's and looks like a little doll house( it is so cute). It just needs a lot of work. We tore up all the carpet and found nice old hardwood floor, so we refurnished them. We are stressing because we have to be out of the apartment on sunday, and as of right now we don't even have a toilet. We are totally redoing the bathroom. So, we are both prepping for our first competitions, fixing up the house all on our own, going to work, and moving things into the house. Movers are coming to just move our big furniture saturday because we live on the third floor. We are only moving a couple of miles away, so we are making a lot of trips with the little stuff. Talk about crazy! I am also working 6 sometimes 7 days a wk the past few weeks. I think I am leaning out though and am right on target. I have about 5 weeks left. My mother, sister, and niece are also coming to visit in a couple of wks so we want the house to look nice. My 4 yr old step daughter is coming May 13 to stay with my husband and I for the summer too. I am not used to playing mama, but she is a great kid. I am also scared though because we will have to get some food in the house for her to eat. I am afraid to even see it in the house. I have been cyling my carbs everyother day. I have a high day, which is about 165 grams of carbs( this is counting green veggies). Then, I have a low day and the only complex carbs I have are a 1/2 cup of oats in the am before I work out. The rest of the day I only have protein, green veggies, and fats. I think my body is responding to this pretty well. I am getting cardio in 5 x's per week. I switch up the types and intensity of the cardio. My main problem in getting bored with it. I am getting so excited, nervous, and want the show to hurry up and get here. On the other hand though I don't because I don't feel I am ready. I will probably feel this way no matter what though, just because I have never done this.
    Minick- thanks for checking in on me. I checked your journal and I am with you on all the mixed feelings. I am waking up sweating at night too now. What's up with that. I feel very short tempered too. I am having to force myself to be nice to people and that is not like me at all. I guess it is all part of it. I'm hanging in there though. I am not going to post all the workouts that I have not posted because it is rather boring. I will say though that I am very pleased that I am keeping all my strenght so far and even gaining some in certain exercises. I will try to get back in here more and start posting my stuff again. I just sometimes feel like posting my meals are repetitive because I eat the same things and same amounts just about every day. Take care!

    Hey dont worry about posting... you do it when you have time!!!! OH MY GOSH.. you have a ton of things going on... man I would have had to stop something by now!! LOL tons more stuff than i have!!!

How fun... and i am sure you will be a great "mom" when your step-daughter comes.... but i know what you mean i have not been around kids .. and dont know how to act sometimes when they are around!! THAT is awesome.... i tryed to get my fiance to do the one in July.. but he just doesnt want to.. he has done one before.. but think he just does not want to have to diet or do the cardio.. but he is great... he is helping me so much... and knows what it takes.. so that is all i need.....

    Have you changed your cardio up from something different? I am sure you seen i am stressing over what type to do .. blah blah.. but i will get through it.. i ordered a bf caliper that the guy i go to uses.. so i can have it at home and see how i am doing... fiance usually measures me.. so instead of paying him $25. each time to measure it.. i would like to keep a closer eye on it until i might see him again... any who....

    Just glad you are doing well..... Will be 5 weeks tomorrow!!! And yes i would love for it to hurry up and get here also.. but also like you.. need to still work on certain things!!!
