Bush "started it"? History...meaningful history goes back much farther than the 2 most recent presidents. It's an ongoing catastrophe! I take issue with Nixon and Clinton pretty heavily, Bush was bad as hell and Obama surely didn't do America any favors either. It's time "we the people" demanded (voted in) a government that represents us the way they are supposed to and they promise to, instead of selling us a highly polished turd every election. Yes...it falls on OUR shoulders because we're not collectively asking for true "change".

Bush ran 2 wars while cutting taxes. Bush played a big role in the cheap housing/lending that fed the sub-prime bubble. Bush kicked off the bailout/stimulus game to "recover" from the sub-prime collapse. Goes without saying I'm not a Bush fan in the least. LOL
Obama has taken the baton and run with it, continuing down the same path Bush (and those before him) paved. It's just a shame we're so far along this damn game and the majority still refuse to see what's right in front of their damn faces. The boomers control the vote and they have too much to lose if they don't carry on the status quo. Fools if you ask me.

-- This song is fitting. I believe in the promised land. It may not happen in 2012, but bygod it will happen in my young(and god willing-long-) life. The message has been sent. It's out there for the people to read. It hasn't been filtered. It's out there to read. People will get tired of reading and seeing nothing has changed. Bill O'Reilly will still bitch tomorrow night, Glenn Beck will still think the worlds ending and Wolf Blitzer will still sound like a football play. I think we need to realize the majority of us are under 40( and that is no insult towards those who are over 40). It's OUR future that we are working towards. Voting for the good Dr. it only pointing us in the right direction. Migration is happening. The birds aren't the only one flying back up north. We are too. We're going up. It's a small surge. But a surge none the less. People are waking up. This could be a change in the direction of the wind. Maybe Mr. Dylan was right 40 years later. A hard rain is gonna fall. Maybe we'll catch the calm after the storm. Maybe we'll find ourselves with someone who can promote change. Not the change we can believe in. But the change that is needed.
I voted for Ron Paul today with my head held high. That's what matters. And while a lot of others I'm sure voted for someone due to who they were told, or a name that popped up on a billboard, or he seemed like a decent guy on tv; I know there are others like me. There are others like me today in Illinois who voted with their head held high. We voted for a cause. Not a person. And I think it's shaking up. It's shaking up the foundation of my future. Our future. And that is what inspires me. It's a beautiful thing to be inspired, isn't it? Inspired for a just cause. A cause I believe in. A million others believe in this cause. And I think a million more will sprout up by 2016. Then 2020. I remain optimistic due to that thought. The endless possibilities of my generation, not others before me, choosing what will happen to us. I'm inspired to see the youth such as myself find such a strong idea to follow. A promised land. A land I believe in. It'll take a while, I'm sure. But I believe in. I believe in the promised land. It's over the horizon. The hard rain will fall. But somewhere over that rough mist of rain, through the dirty dire streets of no wind.. A wind is brewing. It's due north. It's migrating. Theres a promised land over that horizon. I see it. Do you?

Watched him on leno last night. I've said it so many times before and I'll say it again....he's the only one of these guys that hasn't gone full retard. When he opens his mouth he actually makes sense, he speaks clearly and doesn't stumble or fumble over things in an attempt to dodge the question. There might be a few things here and there that I don't completely agree with him on but that is to be expected, what matters is his stance on pertinent topics that effect our lives and children's lives and those I agree with him on.

Illinois is a blue state. People are generally not a fan of the neocons there.
But, as in California, any moderates Republicans in Illinois have long since left the party because they've been so turned off the GOP, that the only people who remain as registered Republicans and vote in primaries are hardcore neocons.
If you had every Illinois voter (Democrat, Republican, third party or independent) vote amongst Paul, Romney, Santorum; Paul would win easily. The problem is that the registered Republicans tend to be amongst the biggest neocons in the state. When all that says 'it is good' has been debunked, what says 'I want' remains.

He's got some good ideas and he's consistent, but lettuce be reality, his foreign policy would be DISASTROUS for this country. You can't just 'pull out' of all foreign affairs and just focus on building your country, this isn't the 1800s. Having a complex foreign policy is by no means a bad thing, it's just indicative of the complex nature of global politics.

This Ron Paul's foreign policy is leaps and bounds better than any other candidate or the status quo, he actually has an extensive foreign policy based on relationships and an extremelyl limited Military foreign policy. Sammy I think you have been drinking the MSM coolaid as you have RP's Forign policy and Military intervention policy combied, they are very different and positive for this countries growth and well-being

Free trade agreements do not equal free trade. How can anyone support foreign aid it's immoral, if you care about foreigners donate your own money don't force other people to. Foreign aid fills in the bribery portion of foreign policy to it goes to to ensuring special interests more then helping people. Even when it actually gets to people that supposedly need it it just makes their situation worse for example food aid to Africa puts local farmers out of business perpetuating the cycle. Finally probably not a good idea to be giving it out when your bankrupt anyway.

Terrorists do attack Switzerland bro.

Terrorism is not caused solely by bad foreign policy, but foreign policy can aggravate terrorist attacks.
Paul's policy will reduce the future incentive for terrorists, but the US will remain a major target for terrorists simply because of its size and influence (which it will retain even if it ends empire-building).
That said, his policy is still orders of magnitude better than Santorum, Romney, Obama, Gingrich, etc.
I would prefer someone with Paul's love for peace, but a more sophisticated approach to handling international relations, but that person doesn't exist yet. When all that says 'it is good' has been debunked, what says 'I want' remains.

Probably should have said foreign terrorists but still you have given one example of a likely domestic terrorist attack in Switzerland (depending on how you define terrorism these are fairly common)
Anders didn't actually do anything so I'm not counting that.
One link didn't work.
Nuclear plant one is described above.
As a general point there will always be a small subset of people who want to attack nations because their free or for random reason but when you have foreign policy like Americas it drives general populations toward those indivudals leading to problems.
Charity
1. The VOLUNTARY giving of help, typically money, to those in need.
2. Help or money given in this way.
Taxes are not voluntary therefore foreign aid is not charity. (nice reading comprehension)
Foreign aid is immoral because it is forcing other people to "help" rather then doing something your self imagine going around with a gun robbing people but giving a portion of your take to the homeless, is this moral?
Foreign aid is used for bribery, do what America wants and you get money (Egypt, Pakistan for example)
It makes the situation worse because it perpetuates a cycle of need like welfare. When you flood somewhere with "free" food it drives local farmers out of business so you have to continually give food.
