This let's me know if I'm serious and gives me time to save $.

Oh...that is all disregarded if I find it on craigslist for pennies on the dollar!

Lol. This is me. I'm trying to destroy mine and lift heavier so I have an excuse to get a new one. I still look for a new rack every day, but continuously talk my self out of it at checkout.

I saw one on cregslist, not sure which brand, for $129. I was going to get it, but I sort of put off calling him and lost it. :'(

Actually, the P-tec rack has been discussed numerous times, but if the shipping isn't too steep, $349 is a good deal for that rack.

Every time you see a low price like that it's always a web page that wasn't updated after the price increase of Aug 1st.

Gotcha. Although I'm not in the market, I was tempted. It DID look too good to be true though.

Looks valid, just that the shipping will make up for the cheapness unless you live there.

Which one's better? Mercedes or BMW? In all seriousness, they're both nice racks. You have to make the decision which one suits you better.

I think I'll go with the f430 my bench is the lamar ls513.

I've seen the f430 in person and it's rock solid but I've read good reviews about the lamar cage.

ps imo Audi is the best

Good choice. The way I would have made my decision would have been which one I could get cheaper. They're both great racks.

I know some sites &/or manufacturers will list the load capacity of their equipment. However I noticed many do not. Is there another way to tell?
Maybe I am just dreaming too big or I'm over paranoid. But it seams to me a 600lb load capacity is a bit on the light side. What is your guys opinions on this?

Currently I am leaning toward the Yukon Caribou III full package (lat, Pec Dec, crossover, 200lb stack, & the heavy weight attachment piece for the weight stack. Due to lack of space I need to have an all in one kind of deal.

Aside from NYBB & HOIST, is their any other brands out there that have the Pec Dec, Cable crossover, & Lat attachments?
    D.

Yeah, how it was written was pretty confusing. "400lbs. each combined." Not the clearest description.

    Question...

I'm looking to get the Powertec Power Rack. For those of you who have it: how is it for spotting for benching incline, decline and flat?

Personally, I'm still a novice lifter. So I'm trying to buy something cheap and reliable. However, something that will hold me over for at least 2 years.

    Thanks
Because if it were easy, I wouldn't be interested.

It's an all around good rack. Lots of people from this forum own it, myself included. It's fine for what you mentioned. Take a look through the home gym sticky, and you'll see that it's pictured quite a bit there.

Awesome. That was my main concern. I really do wish I had gotten this before the price increase, but quite frankly, I can't wait for it to go down. I want it asap

As a side note... when these racks ship, do they come in pieces? or are they welded/bolted together to form their box-frame?
Because if it were easy, I wouldn't be interested.

The store which has the bodycraft didn't answer to my mail when I tried to order the F430 so I had to choose the LS536 instead. Sould be at my home by the end of the week.

I'm probably going to make my purchase today, and go with the Powertec Power Rack. I can't wait any longer

My only two questions at this point:

Is there any significantly better rack in this price range? (~$500).

Where can the lat attachment be bought separately? I'm considering getting it later on, instead of immediately.

Because if it were easy, I wouldn't be interested.

thanks. kind of sucks as I broke bones in my right hand and avulsed a ligament. Had surgery 12/9 with 6 weeks no lifting. I am killing the legs on the leg press/hack sled in the interim. Cannot wait. Hope there is no deficit otherwise my rack deads and heavier/safer benches are just a dream. I guess since I did the deal, I plan on getting back to full function
