I have not received my legacies yet, but did talk to York about that potential issue. They told me if they show up with anything other than a paint defect to let them know and they will send out a non-damaged DB. I wonder how many of those issues are due to the way they are packing the Legacies. Might be cutting off their nose to spite their face.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Still cannot beat Bulmore, but this is my latest haul. But this was 100 miles away. To get these I had to buy literally bunch of crap. But it was all or nothing . The seller also said in the text that he had 6 pairs of York. I thought to myself Mother of God but he has only 2 pairs and one 20kg milled plate.
Now need to find a matching twin for it. Recently saw (based on my own "algorithm") , pair of 10kg, 5kg and 2.5kg plates for sale but did not bother to get them . They were also around 120 miles from me . I hope resident York man got them. Now i need to start kg milled collection or help some one out.
Also picked up 80's Olympic bar and 255 set of York milled (45's and 25's only) plates. No 35's. 2 45's , 4 25's , 4 10's , 4 5's and 2 2.5's . Most of these plates have been painted and hubs still have rust in them. Will post the pics later..
Might get pair of milled 35's to complete the set. I now believe that , 35's are needed even though you can get away without them.
Also picked up 245 set of revolvers. Will post the pics in the Ivanko thread and details. My hunch was right as per quality.
20Kg plate
Back of 20 kg plate
This plate has craked spoke as well as little chip on the rim . Looks like it has been abused a lot.
Any ideas are most appreciated on how to fix it . JBweld ??

I have to say your score is way better . I never take rusted plates into GYM. Just leave the in the garage. Did the same for all my RH's. But carrying these to the basement was a breeze. Way better than carrying Unbranded Ivankos.
1. Any ideas on how to fix the cracked spoke and the chip ?
2 Wanna trade revolvers for with your recent haul :-) Bet i paid quiet bit more for mine than yours.[M]===[6]â–ª Mech6 Crew #35 â–ª[M]===[6]

VHD16 - Sweet deeps. As far as the lone 20kg - Hope you find a mate for it. I am a little confused on why you didn't get the smaller kg plates? Are you saying that was an additional 120 miles away from the 100 you already traveled? Or just a different 120 miles direction from home?
Either way, there's plenty of guys here that can use some more kg change plates. So hopefully you steered a member in their direction. Well done. And once again, Congrats.▪█──────█▪ Equipment Crew #64 ▪█──────█▪

Speaking of milled kg plates, picked up pair of 2.5 kg ones today on the way to work. Now, the journey begins for kg milled plates.
The only difference between these and my 20kg plate is Kg vs KG.

Im sure jb weld could fix that spoke and chip although im not sure how well it would hold up. Ive never used it but doesnt seem like a lot for the jb weld to grab ahold of and stick well. Of course you'd have to paint the plate to blend it which is easy enough.
I took back the one york dd I had from my friend who I traded some stuff for (I purchased 5 total, 4 are really nice then there's this one.) I may jb weld it and paint it. My spokes are in tact but its pretty chunky around the edge. Ill use it for the rogue landmine base along with that dan lurie plate I have. Maybe ill try this out next week. Ive never used jb products before so im curious to see how they work.
I gotta pass on the trade . I thought about selling some off to cover the remaining plates and all the bars I bought but im basically a hoarder when it comes to certain vintage things.

Any suggestions on a good DB rack for hosting York Roundheads and Legacies? I'm leaning towards a tray style rack but they seem to cost an arm and a leg. The best deal I've found is for the Hoist DB tray - but I can't find any reviews of this particular Hoist piece:
https://www.thefitnessoutlet.com/hoi...ck-hf-4461-60/
Also looking at the Rogue Universal Storage System - although it's annoying that there's no plastic lining to protect the paint job of the rack or DB's. Any other thoughts or suggestions? York makes a really nice one - but it's really long and pricey. I sent Allison an e-mail but it sounds like she's mostly MIA right now.
Currently painting my new roundheads. I'll post a pic or two when I get home tonight.STAND TALL AND SHAKE THE HEAVENS!!

Well that's lame... I bought a few last week (before the sale). 25% off is pretty significant.. I will say these are pretty decent plates for the average gym go-er who just wants accuracy at a fair price. Black paint finish leaves a bit to be desired (rough and chips easily), but for the price, they're not bad.

I've been looking at the rogue universal 2.0 but don't think it's in the budget right now so I've been leaning towards an angle iron style rack, specifically the one from rep. Anyone have this rack? Any thoughts on it? I came across a great deal on a cybex pro style dumbbell rack for a great price but sadly had to pass it up because I had no place to put it.
An update about my loose 45lb legacy dumbbell, york did cover it under warranty and a new one is suppose to be delivered tomorrow.[M]===[6] Mech6 Crew #33 [M]===[6]

The extra $100 per DB tray is a bummer on the Rogue system. I would probably go with one med ball rack (no addt charge) and 2 DB trays for now, and then add a third DB tray later on when the budget allows. The Hoist option looks good, although I wish I could find some reviews.
EDIT: Roundhead pics attached. I have them all cleaned, just need to do the painting now. My Legacies arrive Wednesday so we'll see what kind of shape they are in.Last edited by swimmer32; 10-03-2017 at 07:53 PM.
