Yup - Light turned yellow and the two cages stopped for it. When the cages stopped, the van turning left went. When the van turning left went, it got held up by peds crossing the street. Then there goes the dumbass splittin' the light taking a bite of that **** sandwich

BROS!! MotoGP is here. Free practice was bizarre, open bikes faster than prototypes, dogs and cats living together... it's madness. Somewhere, someone at Dorna is not sleeping well tonight.
(However, I think that the soft tire isn't gonna last more than a few laps, so it should stack the grid on qualifying weird, but it'll sort itself out in the race. I hope. Maybe.)

The Open bikes got to test at Losail what 2 weeks ago? The factory riders had to go to Phillip Island for the tire test so they've only had 45 minutes of testing (in Qatar) compared to 15 hours that the Open class riders had. Funny how crazy this season is looking even before the first race.
Anyone order the MotoGP video pass?

I have the videopass for WSBK. Wish they had a package that included both WSBK and MotoGP since it's all Dorna anyway.

First 600 mi service for my FZ6R is coming up. The place I bought it from quoted me at over $200 (fkn lol) and Iron Pony (a motorcycle gear shop for the unawares) is quoting me at $99 + parts. I looked up a video on youtube of a guy performing his first 600mi service but I have a feeling it will be cheaper Iron Pony to do it for me. All is needed is an oil change, clean the chain, and re-lube. I have everything tools wise but I'd still need oil, a filter, a bike stand, and the stuff needed to change/lube the chain so it's looking to be more expensive for me doing it myself.
Thoughts?
I do plan to buy a stand in the future to make storage and swapping out my exhaust either but I can't get one at the moment. All future oil changes will likely be done by me.*MFC*

At the very least a rear stand is necessary for any bike owner.
The 1000k (600m) service is pretty easy. Like you said, it's basically an oil & filter change and a chain lube & adjustment. You'll be doing those quite regularly so you might want to do it this time. If not definitely do the next one. $99 plus parts isn't bad IMO. Shops in my area charge about $85 an hour so that's not bad.
Do you have a service manual? I'd get one since working on bikes is so easy and it'll save you a tonne of money in the long run.
