No, you're making my point. "Dirty" means that it's bad to eat. For anyone, regardless of their goals. It's relegated to cheat day only style. Meaning it's still bad, you're just going with it once in a while.
I'm not trying to be vague or a douche, I'm trying to say that 'clean' is a meaningless term. Clean and dirty is how much you eat in relation what what your nutritional needs are [credit to Dr. Horse for that one]. That's it. I'm asking why pizza is, unto itself, dirty. Answer would be like 'the bread is a simple carb,' 'it's high GI,' 'the fat makes you fat.' Or those kind of things which are, of course, all wrong.
Two years ago I would have gotten all those, people seem to be learning now - which is cool. However, the 'dirty' and 'clean' terms have remained. That's a shame, for a LOT of reasons.

If that's true, then i feel sorry for poor MAX.MAREK, because I don't think he interpreted your position as such, let alone the rest of the 'cleantards' ITT. In fact, I think the truly obsessive are a very low percentile group who abide by the 'clean' rule, whatever that may be for them, because:
A) They started out with this the day they decided to turn their life around and, big surprise, it's worked for them.
B) They are simply obsessive-compulsive and it fits their lifestyle and their need to obsess over things in their life.
Group A is the only one you'll likely ever get to open up to your argument. However, for some of them, such a change could be detrimental because perhaps it could lead to a slippery slope scenario. I've fallen victim to this numerous times. Add a tub of Dulce de Leche ice cream in the freezer and one night, a few spoonfuls will turn into half the container. We've all been there, and this is why many adhere to strict diets. Will a little 'dirty' hurt? The answer is specific to the individual, not the group.

to be fair, there's also this third group:
C) The newbs who seek the advice of the the accomplished to learn. They are sponges and if you tell them hemp and pepper will make them big and strong, they'll buy it in bulk and consume it unquestionably. It's human nature and they can't be faulted for that. It's a matter of explaining to these individuals what their options are and let them make their own decision as they'll either fall into the other two groups, or find contentment with the rest.

I forgot no one here competes and most barely workout or have been working out for less than three years. So of course I often forget, even though this is bodybuilding.com, 99.999999999% here are beginners and almost no one here is an actual bodybuilder. Its a shame we can't have relevant discussion to actual bodybuilders here at BODYBUILDING.comMET-Rx/Pure Protein Board Rep

Anyway, it's a really poor argument - we've all seen the Ronnie Coleman videos of him scarfing down Chilies three meals a day. Not that this is the prime reason it's a poor argument or anything... just that the assertion itself doesn't support itself.

So why is a slice of pizza everyday going to hurt your goals. Exactly. Please don't give a speech about taking it seriously, or how I'm wearing too many clothes for your taste.
You want that kind of discourse - fire off.
And yes, I'm aware I sound like a broken record and it's probably getting annoying. However, it still boggles my mind how nobody can answer this question - but still all know it's true."And Those Who Were Seen Dancing Were Thought to be Insane by Those Who Could Not Hear the Music."
