This is great, playoff baseball in the beer city. Wish they were all night games though.

MVP Christian Yelich batting .326, 36 HRs, 110 RBIs, 118 runs, 22 SBs
Tall and lengthy, he goes 6'3, 195.
Imagine his numbers if we could figure out how to sneak in some big league supplements into the boy in the off season.DR. 3time

So I tried the Ribeye Burger at Jack in the Box today. I missed out last time so I made sure to get one after I saw it mentioned a couple days ago. I'm a plain guy, I just like ketchup and mustard. One or two people have described me as Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation, apparently because he's a carnivorous person and orders hamburgers the same way. I'm not very familiar with him, but that's cool and it doesn't bother me. Anyways I believe the sandwich had a slice of provolone on it, and didn't do much to drape the burger. I believe it was melted, but yeah it wasn't making much of an impression. Anyways for the burger itself, it was pretty interesting to experience prime rib ground up as a burger. Ribeye (as a steak) has come to my attention to be some sort of miracle meat that can just cook forever and retains tenderness due to all the fat in it. This burger was pretty tender while still holding a pretty good consistency, but I gotta wonder if it could be seared more for what I just mentioned before. I kinda wished I got another type of burger to compare/contrast instead of two tacos as a warmup appetizer, but I think everything worked out pretty good. Needless to say the burger could have been bigger by any considerable dimension.
Also wondering if I should just go to a butcher and have them grind up some rib meat for $10+ / lb lol. Doesn't seem like that extravogent of a purchase even though it's rib meat lol. I keep an eye out for packer briskets at Costco that are like $3.50 / lb, but are like 15 lbs. And apparently it might be a bit much of fat considering I've seen them sell trimmed brisket in the styrofoam tray for like $8 / lb.

Nothing wrong with Hammer Strength. If a machine agrees with your joints keep using it. It's not like the weight is moving by itself. I never subscribed to the idea freeweights are always superior.
I preferred doing shrugs with the HS squat/lunge which I could load up with 24 plates and go to town without a bar slamming into my nuts (trap bar would have been even better if the gym had one) and I liked doing shoulder press on the smith. I also liked hitting back with one arm HS rows after DB rows and close grip seated cable rows and pulldowns towards the end of a workout. Use what works and discard what doesn't.

Sorry to interject, but now that you bring it up I am curious as to how many people in the country organically despise him on a basis more sociopolitical. I think there's grounds for people to hate him based on like his lack of character integrity, but a lot of people aren't particularly proactive like that.
Jordan Peterson on the other hand... For how problematic that guy has established himself with said people, I don't find him specifically invalid in his presentation or discourse. Like Trump is a walking social fallacy that couldn't present himself out of a wet fact-checking paper bag, but Peterson himself is just an antagonist based on his standpoint so to speak.
Also I'm glad that that paper bag analogy isn't thrown around as much as it was a couple years ago.
edit: and people do actually charge Peterson with stuff. I don't follow the manifested anti-progressive tirade that he symbolically kinda represents, but yeah.Last edited by GeneralSerpant; 10-12-2018 at 05:56 PM.

So, went to the gym today after work. Didn't sleep to well the previous night. Felt like shyte. It was legs today. Had no desire whatsoever for higher rep stuff at first.
Somehow happened that I did the Sadiv 12 minutes-deadlift-thingie. But with squats. 90% 1RM. Managed 22 reps. Had a spotter from rep 12 but never needed him. Followed up by 6 sets legpress, 3 sets BSS, 4 sets leg extensions, 4 sets RDLs, 4 sets seated ham curls and 4 sets of those weird lying on the back feet on ball hamstring "curls".
I did some brutal stuff back in my days, but now, now I am going to die.Last edited by ZoranM; 10-17-2018 at 10:20 AM.

Stuck at the same point on a sudoku puzzle for like 45 minutes. Maybe cancelled out like 1 candidate in a square of 4 candidates... I finally find one naked triple hiding in plain sight, lined up right next to each other in a column and then the whole puzzle (well over half left) collapses like a house of cards.

Actually after he posted I was tempted to talk about my last trip to Black Angus.
Went for 2x rounds of molasses bread and whipped butter. 4x appetizer sampler platter. Nice round of baked potato soup w/ cheese and bacon. Then washed all that down with the prime rib and green beans w/ bacon bits. We're cookin' with gas now.

Like I said I phased out my auxiliary days a bit. I go to the gym just to row machine for the last couple of those. I've developed that and my back involved exercises to the point where I'm persistently cradling my spine with all the muscles surrounding it.
Switched to higher volume OHP but keeping same intensity. Farmers walks with rest intervals to increase micro frequency instead of just doing them 3-5 times throughout the workout. Trying to get overall more volume per workout unless it's an exercise that I'm working on for proper form. We're cookin' with gas now.
