Outside of Canada French is useless,
even the French we learn is different from the French they speak in Quebec and France.

Learning from for 12 years was a fking waste
Honestly I feel every kid today should be taught their mothers tongue and computer.
The new generation should be taught C programming , c++ and java

I don't regret learning french in school, and there are more options than just that now, at least on the west coast. We could have also picked japanese and spanish in high school. Wish I could have done Italian, but only because I would actually get to use that one with my family. I know the swear words, but that's about it.

I took French four years in high school.. I can't speak it but if someone speaks it to me, I can get the gist of what they are saying if I pay close enough attention.. But I can do the same with Spanish but that comes from being around Spanish speaking people a lot
