I've been at the same job for over 18 years. I consider myself very fortunate but its also why I tell people to look into trade schools. Being a plumber/pipefitter, I'm always "employable".

I hear that. I started at the company at 18 as a apprentice electrician, worked there until 2008, came back in 2010. I haven't been on my tools in about 15 years but I still maintain my journeyman certification and I'm also a licensed electrical contractor. It's good to know a trade. I do contracts and estimating work now.

Right now Halifax NS is crying for trades people. Accommodations paid for and high hourly plus OT. I think trades people are less of a consideration than say computer programmers. However anytime a city is expanding they are in high demand. It is good honest work. Anyone that is prepped could make a killing in Halifax right now.

It's fairly easy to find work in the trades if your good, regardless of how bad the economy gets. Like Iceman said, if you need a plumber, you need a plumber!

You rack up points on your member card, and then they send you a freebie gift cert in the mail. I got aminO energy, a multi, and for the first time, thought I'd try out protein pudding, vanilla & chocolate. Only downside to the pudding? Lots of sodium.

But, it's nice to get free stuff.

Free is always good Just add a partial amount of the free pudding to your shakes and calibrate it to your sodium intake standards

Yep, I get emails from them telling me how many rewards points I have. I kind of use them more. But you can get GNC to price match any other store's in store list price ( not online stores ). So you can use both.

Seriously my Uncle is a tradesman (Contractor) though retired. If you have the skills and mobi8lity Halifax is as much of a Gold mine as Colorado in the gold rush..

Yeah but you have to be mobile and willing to re-locate. You could make 150+/year (SRS) but not so easy if you are tied down.

unfortunately...gnc doesn't sell amino energy. i really have grown to like vitamin shoppe over gnc. better prices, and better inventory. of not only protein supps, but vitamins and herbal remedies as well.
