Exactly. People are making it sound like Phil is just insulting random fans of his without reason. To be fair, I assume that forums or media outlets weren't as popular, and that may not be directly related, but given their age, it may be a factor. Phil being a younger guy, having been exposed to technology earlier in his life, etc. could be a factor as well. *Edit: Also, Phil's background as an IT guy.

Political correctness is born from society's sensitivity, therefore, Kai's sexual act would be defended by arguments that support peacefulness/self-expression/judgement-free ideologies, while Phil's would be attacked by how unprofessional and hateful it came off.
