All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. Congrats NYY fans for at least getting some progress you want.
Meanwhile another RP gone while the Braves FO sits around jacking each other off pretending the worst bullpen in the 2018 playoffs can be fixed internally

3 years 40 million with an option for a 4th. Bringing the total deal to 50 million.
Weird contract,Yankees have to decide on exercising fourth year option, after the second. If they do not pick it up Britton can opt out after 2 years. So it could be a 2,3, or 4 year deal.
I hope we're getting vintage Britton for that contract.

It is a strange deal with a bunch of possibilities
I do think it ending up 2 years is pretty unlikely though
For that to happen he would have to good enough to warrant leaving that third year at $13 mil for a better contract but bad enough the Yankees didn’t want to exercise the 4th year.
Could happen but definitely a strange situation to see unfold if it does."One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. Can you imagine the amount of HRs Dozier is gonna hit if he goes to Coors? Predicting a career year from that ******* if he’s smart enough to head there. He’s the type of hitter who will work especially well at Coors (and suck ass on the road)

Pretty much!
Real talk I don’t even know who I’d consider the favorite in the NL East right now.
Feels really even across the board for all 4 teams.
Mets and Nats had the most work to do to catch up and they’ve done that but also kind of stalled out before becoming obvious favorites
Philly has done some work, but never really spent silly money like they said
Braves added Donaldson which is a small boost but then did absolutely nothing and let the other 3 make up ground in them.
If I had to pick right now I’d probably lean toward the Mets. They played real well to open last year and rea well in the final 2 months las well. They just fell of a cliff somewhere in between where they couldn’t win at all which was really weird.
Injuries were a part of that for sure as well. They stay healthy and I think they’re the team to beat right now, granted the margin is so small between everyone that doesn’t mean much."One day I won't be able to lift any more. Kelvin Herrera off the board
$9 mil too expensive for the Braves looks like"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. Officially behind the other 3 teams in the East

I have stated many times braves front office is inept. Have argued with him many times over this
Earlier in the offseason i remarked how everybody said they had tons of money to spend and how they could possibly get multiple star FA, but then i also posted about how they spent like 23 mil and suddenly they didnt have much $$ left
That same front office was constantly "saving" money, never spent it, had high draft picks, never went for elite talent- drafted their mike minor ilk players despite the advantage of drafting high, saved money by going underslot, etc., etc.
It seemed like they were on a good path until that IFA fiasco
I guess i dont really disagree with recent moves made but for a while they always seemed to cuck themselvesLast edited by propreffered7; 01-08-2019 at 10:19 AM.

The NL East seems content battling with just themselves and not worrying about how good the rest of the teams in the NL and AL get each year which is why our representative to the playoffs routinely sh*ts the bed when it matters.
Current article on Braves homepage says it all: “Can the Braves repeat as NL East Champions?”
Don’t seem remotely interested in taking the next step to contend for a WS title. Hell even if there was mention of “Can the Braves contend for the NLCS crown?” It would be a sign they are interested in progression at least.
But nope. Winning the division is good enough for everyone in the NL East seems like"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable.
